I shall run 100 miles!!

Hi guys! This new stylee minimins has thrown me a little, I feel lost. Anyways, running group went fantastic.. It's broken up into different groups, depending on ability etc. I managed to slot in comfortably with a group running a comfortable 8 min/mile pace. So happy, happy. Will be doing things that I've only been guessing at before - proper interval and speed work, so it should, hopefully benefit me a lot :)

Hi everyone

I am in AWE of your running, you are doing so well! I have been cycling madly getting ready for our cycling holiday. Been meaning to post about eating and exercise for ages as I have read some good stuff on it. It is for long distance cycling, but cannot see how it would be different for runners. The big thing I have learned is that we need to eat TONS of carbs in the first half an hour after we stop. If we don't, our bodies can't do all the things it needs to as effectively to prepare us for the next day. Read the following to see. Its interesting I promise!

Yes I have returned!! took abreak there due to a chest infection and then a bit of a holiday recovering from my 40th. Was feeling a bit sorry for myself so I got back out and did a couple of runs over the weekend and I am feeling great. It means I only have 2 miles to go to my 100 mile target - should have that done this evening. Will update in the morning

Well both my friends from the running club let me down yesterday, but they had a training/coaching session going on so thought I would join in with that. Most of the peolple there are serious runners from the monday group with only me from the slower class. I did my best to keep up with them completed all the training with them and got some good tips on my running.
The run back I really pushed myself and the coach said I did extremely well so I and so glad I went.
Legs don't feel too bad this morning but will see how they go after tonights run.

Hey girls. Well after a lot of tarting about I'm looking forward to my first run in months on Sunday. You've all done so fabulously, especially those who completed the half marathon. Well done all!
