I wish I could send you a few wee triangles lol.

Remember Chels, you're not letting anyone down. They always say that maintaining weight loss is the hardest part of dieting and at the moment you are working your way through it. Please never think that you are letting us down, you are an inspiration to a lot of us on here but you never have any pressure from us to do anything. We just love hearing about your journey and you make us laugh.

Chelcie, thats probably for 100g. You wouldnt eat 100g of porridge at one time, more like 30g

Porridge instant, made with water - 180g - 671 calories!

    Yeah, 180g!!!
I have 30g of porridge in the morning made with skimmed milk and water and its 140 calories, when I have 45g its 210 calories.
You are talking about 180g of porridge here, thats a massive amount lol, its 6 times the 30g portion.

Tanya, the book I have is 'The calorie counter' by Dr Wynnie Chan - its excellent and came recommended by my Pharmacist, its like my little bible now. I love it.

Aww that's brilliant chelly. Just carry on the way you're going and you'll be just fine. And you are not letting anyone down. You're only human :)

ChellyWellyBoot I will be skinny again!!!

Ah! so would it not weigh like 180g with the water no?
  17. kered

    kered Well-Known Member

No Chel, the porridge weight is dry. I weigh 30g of dry porridge, then add 100mls of skimmed milk, and 100mls of water and boil. That is 140 calories.

If I weigh 45g of porridge, I add 150ml of skimmed milk and 150ml of water, that is 210 cals chick.
