Ketosis seems to kick in for most people on day 4 or 5, some earlier...I wait till about day 6 :eek:, although I have slipped into it easier this time :D

Do you like green tea, peppermint tea ?
These will help to your water intake :)
 
I dont mind the water as i enjoy drinking going to aim for 4 litres with or without the flavourings. Just think more water in more fat loss????
Had my 2litres & 1 choc shake & feeling good atm.

Ketosis sticks are hard... I got some myslf but i cnt figure them out so dont bother anymre.

Also Ive found if i have 1 litre b4 brkfst & then i get a 2=1.5 litre bottles & give myslf a deadline to finish them by 7-8pm. I stagger them throughout the day it really works.
 
Hi all glad to read you are well.. I was gonna invest in the Ketosticks, but don't think im gonna bother now (don't need anything else in my life to obsess about).. I am really struggling with the water still, and I don't know why!! I usually drink about 2/3 ltrs a day, but finding that I am really struggling to get it down for one reason or another... I do drink peppermint tea but only a cup a day...

Today I feel so very weak and tired!! more so that the first 3 days, I put it down to starting the TOTM...

On the flip side I weighed myself today and the scales said I have dropped 9.2 Pounds (yay).. I know it is only water and some what premiture, but it's 9.2 Pounds I do not have to carry up & down!! This is very encouraging...

How is it going for every one else?????

I wouldn't call a slice of wafer thin ham falling off the wagon :) it won't affect your weight loss in the slightest! You'll still be in ketosis so I really wouldn't panic! Just carry on as normal and forget about it!! X

You should be fine, but don't let that make you think you can do it all the time. Learn from this and try not to slip in future, as it might lead you to eating something much worse that will affect the diet.

It is very easy for one slight slip to spiral into giving up completely. Don't let that happen, or you will end up feeling 100 times worse.
 
Hi all, hows it going? I am feeling a lot better today? Just need to up my water... I am worried about the weekend tho, at least when i am at work i am constantly distracted... When, im home 7 bored i eat!! So I am hoping that the weather is good, so that I can go out and tire myself out! this is really going to be a true test of my inner strength & will power....

I wouldn't be so down, abstaining from food is a big task.. Dust your self off and jump back on.. Onwards and upwards...
 
Good morning :)

I find weekends tough too Jarvisolat, aiming to do all those chores outside that have been waiting to be done i.e. paint fence, mow lawn etc - and burn off a few calories too! All this to keep my fingers and mind busy from picking.

Had a sneaky peek at the scales this morning - 5 lbs in 5 days - pleased as punch. Hmm punch... strange how much food and drink creeps into our vocabulary when you are trying to avoid it.

Have to go to a friends dinner party tonight though, which had been booked for ages - hes a bit of a culinary genius and I know it would upset him if I didnt partake (its his birthday too.... argh all these excuses to cheat a little). Still, I have arranged to drive, rather than stay over and will try to stick to proteins and veg and tons of sparkling water!

Will try not to beat myself up about it, but a little anxious as I know I've just gotten into Ketosis :( Can't win either way, and I hate disappointing people.

A culinary genius would most probably have relished the challenge, of your phone call, about how you wanted to stay on track on your new eating regime of high protein, even when you are solcialising.

how do we send requests please can i have some buddies im on day two on ts so far so good and i have a diary to help me write my feelings etc and how i overcome them so u can all read which i hope will help, called amzie weight loss to wedding.
