How's the heat over there today? I'm with Starlight, I sleep with my window open all year round too (and in the nuddy!..though not 'with' Starlight you understand, hahaha)..

I know that wee girl must have been hurtful Paula but dont let her get you down, easier said than done I suspect. Kids dont always realise what theyre saying

I cant beleive how gorgeous youve all been ,thank you so much for those replies.
Two of the people at work have had lap band surgery through keyhole and have lost alot of weight.I am seriously thinking of this.
What do you all think?.


The heat is mid 30s it is lovely in the day and i supposse if we had aircon it would be bearable at night,but were only renting so we will have to bear it.
It is a bank holiday today so no weigh in ive got to go wed or thursday:cry:

Re the surgery - totally your decision but make sure you think and talk it through properly before you decide anything. Healthy eating is the best was to go but as I said - your decision!

thanks guys,i know your all right .Im so impatient and was just thinking if my portion sizes were out of my control i might find it a bit easier.Ive got 2 months of cambridge here as well .I bought the cambridge when i first came to oz but couldnt do it,You lot must think im a right twatxx

Why don't you do the cambridge hun? God I would if I had it in my cupboards!!!!!!!!
I did cambridge last year as a sponsored slim to raise funds for my nephew and I lost 23lbs in 6 weeks! How chuffed was I????? Then to be honest I couldn't afford it anymore and thats when I chose to do ww!

I dont know Paula would you even qualify for that kind of surgery? I think you have to be SERIOUSLY overweight to have that. Its not something Id rush into at all, but if you only have a couple of stones to lose I dont think a doctor would refer you for it.

Maybe CD is worth trying again, or what about Core??

thanks guys i have just done two night shifts so havnt managed to come on.Ive got weigh in tonight i havnt lost prob put on again .Im gonna go and put a line under this binge again.
I went to see my doc yesterday and he refered me to a surgeon.Ive got an appointment for 2 weeks today im gonna go and see what he says.
I will update ticker laterxx

Im really surprised your doctor is referring you for it Paula, its so drastic. How much do you still want to lose. Just dont rush into anything youll regret later, remember these things are permanent

I think that you are doing right going to see the specialist as you should be able to have all the facts to hand to help you make the decision. The more information you get the better informed your decision will be. Its your decision at the end of the day and you have to do what you think is best for YOU!
