    This place is so quiet! How can that be?

    We need to liven this place up.

    How is everyone who has just started 5:2 or 4:3 finding it? How are those who have been 5:2ing a while doing?

    I have been 5:2-ing properly since the start of Jan. I feel like I am getting into the swing of things better and better each week. I struggled with my 2nd fast of the week a lot but seem to have got it under control now. I just need to work on not going beserk at the weekends as that seems to be my downfall!

    Me too berry berry, in some ways it is a great way to lose weight but controlling the eating at the weekends is difficult for me. Life seems to revolve around food.

    I thought this forum would be so much more busy as I know loads of people who have tried the 5:2 diet and rave on about it! I just started today, and have my first fast day tomorrow. How are you all finding it?

    Yeah, I'm super-surprised its so slow as well. Everyone I know has been doing it (or some form of it) and with great success! I'm only on week 1 - second fast of the week is tomorrow. I suspect once I get through that (and the weekend), I'll know how easy/difficult I will find this.

    Nope. Was on here in 2011 but only back last week as I started 5:2.
    Posted same that IF prob doesn't lend itself to regular support posts as folks only seem to need on fasting days/pre-fasting days. Shame too as this place was really my saving grace before. :(

    Hello. I'm lurking! Shame it's quiet but nice to see a few posts. The official fast diet website has a very active forum.
    I'm on week 2, fast day 2 is tomorrow. Still getting the swing of things but fast days so far seem ok. The picking habit is hardest!!

    Just finishing my 2nd fast of 2nd week and I'm really enjoying it! There's an odd sense of cleansing/detox almost on the fast days. I'm finding them much easier than I expected (which likely means I prob don't need to eat as much as I do on non-feast days! ;-) I've also done a 5K run the a.m. after fast which has gone quite well as a wrap up to the fast. My goal is do that each fast.

    Wish it was more lively here, but lurking loads on the fast diet forum board as well.

    Glad to hear you are enjoying it. Me too. Totally know what you mean about eating less on non fast days too - it's a real eye opener isn't it.

    Week 2 day 2 for me today and I think I'm going to find it tougher. I have my toddler and baby to contend with (other days I've either just had the baby or my husband has been around!) and I'm painfully tired, which is often when I'd turn to sugar to pep me up!

    My mum bought me a funny t-shirt as a joke, which says "you can't buy happiness but you can buy cake and that's kind of the same thing" on it! Whilst funny, I feel like it's not really appropriate for a fat lass like me!!! Lol! I will wear it when I'm thinner.

    Great mom you have there Hellie :). But I understand your feelings about it.

    I had my day 2 yesterday and I noticed that I'm freezing in those days. It gave some results though, I lost 1.3 lbs this week
