How exactly is that on plan? Correct me if I'm wrong but if you take 4 off for HEXB you've still had 15 syns haven't you? What if you fancy a naughty nibble later on?

Whether it's 'on plan' or not hon, it's not great to be eating anything to excess like that from a psychological point of view. I'm sure you'll still lose weight this week, but maybe you need to look at keeping your intake of all foods sensible rather than excessive?

I agree with Elizabeth - although its ok in one sense in another its a bit strange, its kinda like eating 2 full cooked chickens - yes its free but its not a good idea and not what you would do normally. If you've eaten them because your hungry then maybe you should try and fill up on fruit instead hun x x :p

Yep, that's what I mean Jen - it's not so much *what's* been eaten, that's fine and within plan, it's the *way* it's been eaten. Believe me I totally understand, I struggled with chronic bingeing for 20 years and actually, for someone in that situation who's only just starting out I'd say it's absolutely better to be eating Alpen Lights to excess than pizzas or pasties. That's one of the ways SW is so valuable at helping binge-eaters, IMHO. But at some point the behaviour itself has to be addressed.

To the OP, hope you don't take my comments the wrong way hon as it's not intended to make you feel bad, just to draw your attention to the need to make sensible choices with all food, even if it's on plan. :)

Absolutely, I hope it's taken in that spirit because the last thing I want is to upset anyone. Sometimes it can really help to get an outside perspective.

Indeed, I feel really passionately about how SW can change your mind as well as your weight, having experienced it myself.

One of these days I'm going to make a post listing my 'typical' day's eating before SW, when I was in my binge-eating years. You'd die of shock, I guarantee! Three giant bags of sweets? Pah, you're an amateur compared to me in the bad old days! :D :D

Ages ago someone actually did that, I think it was Vixxster - OMG it was hysterical, I cried with laughter at it because it was the first time I'd encountered someone else who could put away as much as I could! :D :D

Aw thanks everyone! You haven't made me feel bad AT ALL, the support is awesome. I really don't know what came over me, I do love them but I find them slightly addictive so I think I'm going to make a concious effort for the rest of the week to make sure my HEXB's are something else like bread or cereal. They are bloody gorgeous though! Syn free tea for me tonight! Normally I would stick to around 8 syns per day so I will for the rest of the week - Thanks again lovelies! xx

I always thought that recommended syns were 10-15 a day, but my C said last week that this was a common misconception - i'm only meant to be having 6! can anyone clarify the boundaries? I can't remember what she said now!
