Its so great that this thread is so active as hopefully that means if one of us is feeling weak, the others can help :) It'd be amazing for all of us to get to the end of January lighter and happier.

Jo that would be great, we have to keep that in mind to stay focused.Have you got a calendar with your targets on it? I need to see it as soon as i wake up or i forget i am on a diet!

Dietninja, it really does have to become your life doesn't it? I even wonder if becoming a consultant would be useful to keep me on track. If i had to set an example i think it would help me stick at it, also explaining the diet to other people would mean i would be constantly reminding myself it is worthwhile. I am a bit of a nightmare when i get on my high horse about something lol it would probably be useful to be a "know it all" with diet though xx

Dietninja well said!! It's such a human thing to put anything off for another day or another week but why, why will next week or next year be any different, let's make the change now! It's hard coz of anything crops up like, problem at work or problem with family, diet and everything goes out the window but it shouldn't, if we ourselves are fit and healthy and at our best, any problem that hits us, we should be able to deal with it as we will be in the best state physically and mentally! And if we want to treat ourselves, no point doing it with junk that will harm our body, options are, new clothes, get nails or hair done, have a nice candle lit bubble bath, all those nice things kind to out body :) xxx thanks malibusally

It's got to be a great thing to be a know it all about CD :) It's not nice to think your whole life has revolved around how much we weigh and how slim we are, I feel like iv done that since 16 and I'm 26 this yr, it's crazy what us girls are like! I think as long as we are in a healthy bmi and look after ourselves, that's a brilliant achievement :) xx

I know why I regain weight EVERY time, regardless of what diet I'm on...I take my eye off the ball. I'm really good at stuff when I'm focused on it and it's my priority, but when I lose weight it stops being my priority, and then something else takes over, and then I gain a little, then I think "I'll start again tomorrow" which turns into the next day etc... I'm such an all or nothing person (which is why this diet appeals!) but this time I need to master the art of looking after myself and juggling more than one priority. Not sure how I'm going to achieve that yet but I am NOT going to spend my forties like my twenties & thirties...yo-yoing up and down, wearing my emotional state on my waistline.

Hear hear!!

Yeah I have a printed spreadsheet where I tick off each shake each day because then I feel like I'm fulfilling my goal every time I have a shake and tick the sheet! Ginabeany, you're totally right, always tomorrow isn't it! But all those days of eating now we can have after completing plan and actually enjoy them!

Ticking off each day is a really good idea to help mentally, waiting for my calendar to come :) exactly!! Hard work now, rewards later in the year :) xx

I agree too as long as everybody is health and happy within then it shouldn't matter what size you are. We all look to others too much now with everything being so public ie Internet tv phones etc they all copy and whn girls walk around in mini shorts well ot makes u feel even worse! Itd b nice to bit 50 years ago u never saw peole on your phone or tv everyday hardly wearing anything everything was freshly bought and cooked now oir whole lives are commercialised! And im only 25! But i feel like the world i live in is all competition and to look or be the best. I dont want to b 7 stone and have a 10 inch gap between my legs i just want my family daughter and partner to look at mw and be proud and most of all be proud of myself. If we could change the world im sure we would we can only put the world to rights on here im afraid :( every one who is making that change now to be a better healthy you then well done because its people like us who are influences to the younger gen and hopefully theyll look at us and say i want to be like that when im older OR when their our age look back and ay gosh i can see why its so hard to look good!!

Gods lady, l think l'm getting a diet-buddy-crash:)

It's why l am thinking of weight loss surgery (as an aid not a magic cure, it will still take work to maintain only maybe a bit less?) as l can and will lose it -Even the 100+ lbs l need to shake (har har) now- l just can't do it once l feel l got to where l was going....

Ohhh l found what will keep me through this first week - l took "before" pictures and they are the stuff of nightmares! Once l get the next week "after" pic maybe l'll be brave and show you all what shrinking-and-balooning-back looks like to scare ya'll into being good;)

Agreed! I feel the pressure more now in my 20's than in my teens strangely, and there is a lot more of it now in the media! I think as long as your truly happy in yourself and have made a good achievement and healthy, that's brilliant. Even on my wedding day I made it to 8 st 7, I still didn't have a perfect celeb bikini body, no washboard stomach, lil bit of muffin top and big thighs still- and even getting to that point was hard work on CD but I thought, ok I don't look or feel absolutely perfect, but it's 10 times better than I was before and I thought, I don't want to push it anymore, I'm not a celeb and don't have the money to get that sort of body so, It's just accepting being a real non airbrushed woman :) xx

Lol aww photos are a good way of recording progress! Even loosing a stone you might not feel toooo much different then you look back at the photos and think woooahhh is that what I looked like!?!?

Yep agreed xx

Measurements defo a great call too, because some weeks (like period weeks when you retain water) losses are smaller, but you'll know from the measurements you're still losing and the weight will catch up.

That's a great idea jo. I may do the same or something similar:)

Oh yes I remember my consultant saying that before as one my weigh ins I had lost no weight as it was my period week yet my measurements had got smaller!! Clever that!!!
Yeah there must be A way to attach photos somehow

Yeah you can post pictures using the third button on from the smileys button in the reply box (hope that makes sense!). I keep a spreadsheet on the computer recording my measurements and losses each week :) Like having them on the computer rather than just on paper.
