JUDDD 2.0 The Return

I've been an expat now for 14 years so new countries cultures and moving about are bread and butter to me rofl ( not so much but I get there in the end) but never in my life did I feel people in my heart like the egyptians, this bloodshed isn't in their nature and for the few months I have been here I want better for them. They dont sell fresh milk here as standard because for the 22 million people that live here in cairo most dont have fridges...... its desperate the poverty, lack of education, no prospects but they have a thing about them, a love of life and god thats frankly inexplicable to us westeners , ifyou dont see the result you want on the scales today, pat yourself on the back, know you did the best you could under YOUR circumstances and live another day, the best day you can, and be the best version of you that you can be, life is incredibly short, we are who we are and our lives are what WE make them, so lets just be us...bigger, smaller, a pound up or down, but alive, living our lives with our families and loved ones safe and happy.

Another desperate day here in egypt scales still cooperating though 9.6/15 gone had an ud today though so interested to see what the scales say tomorrow

Just a 1lb gain after the weekend, I had a burger king at lunch but no other rubbish so I am 8.6/15 and tomorrow is officially 1 week back weigh in, if it all goes to plan I should see 10/15 off for the week

I'm new to being an expat. I can't imagine how scary it must be for you there x

Well done for losing most of the holiday weight!

I am praying we get evacuated, seemingly the euro countries are having a meeting this week about their approach to citizens being left here, its so complicated right now, I just have my head stuck in the sand, although they set tyres alight and blocked the main road into our compound yesterday.

You're in my thoughts, Lanarkwitch! I keep seeing footage on the news about what's happening there and it's so awful. Stay safe!

Things seem to have calmed down a bit, I think the authorities here are starting to get a handle on things, Mr was back at work yesterday and he said it was all very quiet around our area of town, he is working 8-2pm until further notice to allow everyone to get home before the curfew kicks in and get out to the shops and stuff, which I am doing later today so will report back on that one.

Weight loss news, sts this morning, I think my UD bounce was very low yesterday so that could be a reason, MD today, but dinner will be delayed due to the shopping trip I think.

Off to fuel up the tank :D

FFS, 2 hours with no water, why does it always have to happen just as you put the dishwasher and washing machine on..eh why????????????

Weigh in today saw me back down to my Friday weight so 9.6/15 gone after the holiday weight is gone I hope to see off the other 18lbs I want to lose by xmas, so that means I now have to goals instead of just wandering about!

Forgot to say, we went for the grocery shop yesterday which was quite uneventful except that it was very very busy, even though the curfew kicks in at 7pm I hadn't considered that the shops would shut at 5pm to allow their staff to get home before the cut off time ( duhhh!) Stocks of fresh produce were much better than expected and large bottles of water are back on the shelves, good work Nestle I say!

I did manage however to burn my arm on the heat sealing machine at the fruit/veg weigh station as I stretched over in the rush to get to the check out and have my onions weighed, fortunately the frozen veg I had bought came in very handy in the car on the way home, aloe vera did the trick and it's not sore today, what an idiot!

Slow going this week, but still going down, even if only a tiny bit, today I am 9.8/15 so only .2 off yesterday. Might to a PH today and tomorrow and see if I can get a loss for the week. looking at my stats though 9.8 in 2 weeks is about as much as I've managed in 31 weeks of recording, for anyone that interested heres all my stats which demonstrate if you stick to JUDDD (weeks 1-11) you lose weight and if you don't ( weeks 12-18 when we moved to Egypt) it goes back on again! These stats reflect well the struggle I've had to get back on the JUDDD bus and how quickly I gain when I am not following a plan of any kind, what a year it's been!

Well bit the bullet yesterday and had an UD, it was time to get back on proper rotations, too many MD's in there and not getting into the JUDDD swing isn't doing me any good, so very small scale bounce this morning of just .4lbs so I am back to 9.4/15 for the week so far, official weigh in tomorrow and today is a DD.

Weight has been a bit sticky this week, not really much movement since last Thursday, but I guess my weight is now settling after the holiday and what I have now is the "real" gain after my hols, not so bad after more than 2 weeks of eating and drinking anything I wanted and so much booze, booze everyday I had forgotten how the Scots like to drink!
