Oh nightmare.:( Well done on the loss and carry on drinking is what I say. xx

Ah well not all bad quiet in our compound a few drinks and no doubt the saw doctors or some other generally unsuitable irish music will be on soon, just chatted with my brother in tasmania , coping better I think oh and +1 for bluberry and pomegranate absolute!!

Quick update, I seem to have gravitated to 16/8 style eating and am much happier with it, I think this could work well for me as I'm having trouble with the changing patterns every day of eating/not eating breakfast and lunch. I can also largely keep this up all week except Thursday, but thats no harm and thats waht I've been missing with IF, it's very flexible and I haven't been felixible with it.

So far I'm having very few cals in the day time after 12 noon say around 200 and then having a normal healthy dinner in the evening, windows closes at 8pm and I'm still pretty full from dinner, but might have a hot drink or something and thats me until 12 the next day. Not sure how the scales will react but willing to try it until Thursday WI as it's really suiting me at the moment.

Sounds like a good plan and one I've ended up doing unwittingly too which I've burbled on about on my diary. I'm going to do it for a month and review. I'm hoping I won't end up eating too much during my window which is going to be 5 hours long during the week and 8 on a weekend. ( to allow for a little drinkie). I'm going to avoid eating during the day at all as well. Good luck xx

Does that mean that I can go back into ass kicking mode for you? :D

Well, I have finally been to an Egyptian hospital today, it actually wasn't as bad as I had imagined, we went to a big private hospital where they have an"international relations" department and they basically give you a guy who runs round getting everything stamped and stuff for you, it wasn't unlike the UAE where basically you just book in directly with the specialist, pay your money, get your xrays done or whatever and visit all the different departments yourself in the same day, it's a bit of a pig at the time but after a few hours you know whats wrong with you instead of waiting weeks to see different doctors and stuff.

Turns out Mr Lanark has a herniated disc in his back, 10 days in bed and a load of drugs and then back for an MRI to see what needs to be done, I feel bad now telling him to get up and move about, seems thats not the way to go with that type of injury, he's been expressly told to either stand or lie down and absolutely no sitting unless specifically on the toilet LOL!!

What am I going to do with him sick in the house for 10 days!!

You are going to breathe, in and out, and smile, even if through gritted teeth, and you are going to be solicitous, fetch and carry, offer more than he asks and you are going to enjoy the novelty of it.

Either that or he will drive you mad in less than one day. Personally, I'd go for the cheerfully suffering princess perfect, if I were you.

Best of luck. Let us know when your purgatory starts and we can keep an eye out and hold regular mini pity parties for you.... we all know you'll need it :)

And don't feel bad about dismissing it.... men are such whimps you can't be expected to recognise real suffering when you are confronted by it - honest!

16/8 sounds like a good plan to me. Fingers crossed you get a good result when you have your weigh in, when will that be?

Sorry to hear about MrLanark, I totally read it wrong at first and thought it said 10 weeks of bed rest! I know i'd be climbing the walls if it were 10 weeks. The 10 days will go by quickly enough. Fingers crossed.

Duck tape.. Straight jacket and a good strong flat plank of wood ;) you decide who gets to use what :)

Hope he gets better soon :)

Oh dear but don't feel bad. My ex went to hospital with a perforated appendix but he was in the pub at the time and I could be forgiven for being less then solicitous. I do feel your pain. I've had OH in 24/7 for years since he did his arm in and he gets on my nerves. 10 days should be doable tho :) I have a happy space I sew in to keep out of his way. Don't do too much for him tho. They love milking it even when better :)

He's in pain but in good form really, he's not allowed to sit up or bend forward, so eating is a challenge and I am going to have to hire a crane I think to get him in the shower which doc has recommended rather than baths ( as no sitting).

I do suddenly feel motivated to study though and I have positioned him in bed so he can get some work done.

Well count down with me 1/10 done, no arguments and went surprisingly well, unsurprisingly I was shattered last night from all the running round, I didn't wake until after 10 this morning, thats unheard of for me!

Food has not been good the last 2 days mainly due to all the upset and general running around, so today I am going for 2 shakes and a meal this evening, it will keep me off the junk, way to easy to pop a digestive or 3 and a bar of chocolate when I'm on the run, will keep in my 12-8 window today as I can't just rearrange my day because he's home, slight bounce after the weekend but not worried as I am sure it's just water weight and will come off no probs by Thursday weigh in, hoping for 1-1.5 lbs off this week.

Glad to hear you've found something you're happier with!
Yes finally!!

Does that mean that I can go back into ass kicking mode for you? :D
:hide: yeah you've got your old job back LOL

Pity part will be required around Wednesday I'd say the novelty will have worn off by then!

10 weeks eeek what a terrifying thought, that'll give me nightmares that will!

Sounds good. It's bound to be difficult with Mr L indisposed. I'm sure you'll be fine and the extra running around will burn a bit off. :)
