Last Half a Stone Challenge! any takers?!

i know what you mean about actually seeing what you put in your trolley. I'm the same but i tend to get all my big items online such as toilet rolls, washing powder, tins, etc.

I'm feeling pretty bloated now as i've eaten all of the strawberries, a few more grapes and a big coffee with a dash of full fat milk:eek: I just can't control myself, i don't know what to do to try and get myself back on track. At this rate i'm not going to lose anymore because i must be up to 1500 cals each day with the extra fruit and milk:(

I was so good before. Now i cant even imagine how i managed to do 790! SS was hard but you couldnt have anything so you couldnt go over.

Got to try and get some motivation for the week ahead. Got a friend's birthday meal next friday so i want to try and look my best!

Last night was a disaster - i just kept eating and eating - bloomin hell, i could have opened a fruit shop with the amount i consumed! lol

Posted a new thread for help last night and Sophia Jo came up with a good idea of weighing out my fruit in the morning and putting it in a basket, then hopefully i wont be tempted to cheat. I'm going to try that today.

Really going to make an effort with the exercise next week too. Monday I will go kickboxing, Tuesday I may go tap dancing, Thursday and Friday I'll do exercise DVDs. Now thats a plan!!

At least its fruit your eating babe,ok it might slow your weight loss down, but its better than eating the crap bad foods that will put the weight back on. Sophia-jo does always have good ideas and did you see her thread of the bithday cake she made for her little girl Izzy's 3rd birthday? my god its fantastic!!!
Now all that exercise sounds good to me, just pass some off you exercise motivation my way please babe,i so need to start doing exercise my belly n butt are in real need of toneing!!
Will give sendint that pic another go today as well x

I haven't done too bad - managed to control the fruit so far. Had a few extra spoonfuls of peas tonight but apart from that all okay.

Still gotta get some water down but a better day all round.

I am so tired this morning, dont know why as i have had a fairly good nights sleep,surely my body cant still be getting over totm that finished friday!!.

If i remember rightly you work mondays? if so hope you have had a good day workwise huni.

Goodness knows what i am going to do today with 5 kiddies in the house,tho they are very good and will play together nicely.

Thanks for the pic - battery gone so couldnt text you back hun. The pic came out quite dark so i couldnt see it that well but what i could see was gorgeous:D

Work today was busy as usual. Quite a few clients so the day went quickly and luckily it meant that i didnt pig out on too much fruit! I took an apple, some grapes and blueberries with me so had those spaced out throughout the day. Didnt have a chance to have a shake so will have one abit later (hot choc sounds tempting tonight)

Just had plaice, couscous, broccoli and red cabbage which was yum. Still got 50cals of fruit left so will probably have a banana although it will take me slightly over. As long as i can stop at the banana then i will happy with that.

Sounds like a busy day for you with 5 kids today hun! Wow, you'll be even more exhausted tonight!

Glad you have been kept busy at work today, sounds like you have done well with food today too.
Your dinner sounds lovely, i am haveing pork and couscous tonight, even h2b is haveing it he has had the same dinners as me and has liked all the dinners i have done him out of our yellow cd book!!
mmm is hetic with 5 kids in the house if i have herd a door slam once today!! iwhy is it that children cannot shut doors propley and have to slam them!!

Yesterday evening went fairly well but i did end up having about 100g extra of grapes and a peach when i got to bed so not good but not disastrous.

Just had a big coffee with a bit of milk (full fat:eek:) - cant seem to break that particular habit! Its so nice and I only have one cup each day so i'm not going to get stressed about it.

Well today is a day off for me so not sure what to do yet. Going to the chiropractor this morning for my back and then may take ds to playgroup. After that may go to the town, weather doesnt look too good so i think we'll see what its like later.

Couldnt go kickboxing last night as sil was working so no babysitter:( That means my week of exercising hasnt started well. May and try to do rebounder dvd if ds has a nap later.

What are your plans today hun?

A peach and some grapes is fine hun dont get stressed out about it, the fruit is so much better than eating sweets,crisps and choccie!!!!.As for the milk can you not try semi skimmed milk? but one cup a day cant be doing to much damage surely.
My back has been playing up the last few days,but its a problem i have had to live with for years!! b4 i had the children i was a nurse on geriatric wards and had a couple of times where i hurt my back from the lifting,and its never been the same since!!! but you woud think that being 3st lighter would help it wouldnt you?!
Weather here is nice and bright but soo cold, winter is well and truely here now!!.
Shame you couldnt go kickboxing last night.
Need to pop up to the high street today as last night my wonderfull DS some how managed to knock my mug of the pc desk!, he was very sorry about it tho, and i am fussy about what i drink my black coffee from,it has to be a propper china mug!!!!,drinking coffee from anything else just isnt the same!!,so while i am out will take the kids to the park maybe.

Isnt it strange the way drinks taste better in certain cups/mugs? lol:D I have to drink my cd shake in a plastic beaker - weird! lol It holds just the right amount and always tastes better than in a mug!

Very peckish this morning so have started early. Already had a vanilla shake with mixed spice sprinkled on the top (yum) and a peach. I dont usually have anything until at least lunch time but today i am hungry so thought i'd better have something to prevent cheating. Feel nicely full up now:)

Back problems are a real pain arent they? Do you miss the nursing? My Dad was an ambulanceman for 25 years and it completely buggered up his back with all the lifting so i know how you feel.

My back problem is from the whiplash i suffered after my car shunt in July. Its much much better now but the chiropractor said i still need to work on strengthening the muscles. Hopefully i should make a full recovery.

Well, its very cold here but the sun is out so need to try and make an effort to get out for a while. We've missed playgroup so will have to think of something else! I'm just so bloody tired at the moment I'm finding it hard to get active, its so annoying!
 
It is very weird the whole drinks/cups/mug thing isnt it, my shakes had to be in a glass!! coffee in a proper chima mug, and when eating a frozen choc tetra a certain teaspoon, gee i sound totally dementd lol
I was feeling really hungry this morning, maybe its the coldness of the weather!. I had a bowl of yummy porridge warmed me up a treat!! lol
25 yrs as an ambulanceman wow thats some stint there your dad done,well done to him. I done my nursing psychiatric hospital and like i said earlier i was on the geriatric wards the whole time i was there, had 2 lots of 6wkstints on sick leave cos of hurting my back and can pinpoint both times happening!!. Loved the job while i was there but the good old nhs is so not friendly when you become a mother, and shift patterns as a mother just dont seem to work together!!, if i were to go back into nursing i think maybe i would like to go on to the maternity wards over anything else.

Thats a shame you missed playgroup hun, i know what you mean about getting active as i am struggling with that myself, dunno whats with me at the mo but just cant get motivated and am tired to,but getting more active would help that!! ggrrr vicious circle gotta snap out of it!!! lol
 
Just had a big pack of raspberries so need to check my calorie intake in a mo. Need to try and keep on track today. Haven't even got through a litre of water yet.

My best friend is a psychiatric nurse. She's been quite lucky with going back to work after her babies. I think she works 2 days now with the odd extra night if she wants some extra cash!

I am so tired, wish i could curl up in my warm bed with some buttered crumpets and a big mug of tea! - my fantasies always seem to involve food somewhere along the line - lol :D

Going to try and drink some more water now............glug glug glug xx

I agree about the different mugs/cups etc.....I have to have my shake from a glass but if I drink them hot it has to be in my 'Piggin' teabreak' mug.

Soup has to be in a soup bowl/cup thing with a handle. My hot summer berry is drunk from by 'Murff' mug which I won on our local radio station Dream100.

How stange we are..I think I may start a thread on this subject..lol:giggle:

We have to put our clocks back next weekend, dark evenings Yuk!

I have had strawberrys and a banana for my lunch which have come under the kcals allowed for todays lunch,means i can have more fruit later mmm yummy all i got to do now is decide what fruit it will be!!
I to am stuggling with the water today only had about a ltr so far and its already 2.20pm!! for me thats pants! must get glugging
got on the scales this morning gggggrrrr darn scales think if i am not carefull i might get a bit obsesive with them which i really dont want to happen, any way the reading is not good ggrrr

Deffinatly agree with the time of year thing and wouldntbe supprised if i have a bit of that sad thing
really dont like the cold, couls so happily go curl up in my bed too and sleep for a week!!,
still not been up tp the high st just cant get the omph to get moving!! my get up and go has got up n gone without me !! lol
 
Get that water down Tara...leave the scales alone for a couple of days. I am really looking forward to having some fruit soon. Must keep SSing for a bit longer.

Scale hopping is really difficult to resist isnt it? if you are abit less you feel fantastic for the day but if its the same or more you feel rubbish....its so annoying! i did it again today because i just couldnt believe that i could still be 9st 8lbs. Its driving me nuts.

I've researched abit on the internet tonight and to maintain it says i should eat 1600 and to lose anything between 1200 to 1400 so cant understand why i am staying the same. It should be the same for you too Tara.

It said if i continue with my lack of exercise and eat 1200 cals per day its going to take me till 1st Jan 08 to get to goal:eek: i think that was with putting my goal at 9 stone though.

Well, had quorn sausages, cauliflower and broccoli for dinner. My veg portion was huge but i didnt have any couscous or anything so thought that was ok. The sausages were really nice actually for a change. Ds had a quorn sausage roll which he loved!

Sneaked a few grapes in while i was in the kitchen so must try and resist having any more. Do you think they have a therapy group for fruit addicts anywhere?:D lol

I shall have a banana in a bit and then a bar in bed as usual. ds didnt have a nap today so i didnt get a chance to do any exercise:(
Work tomorrow so no chance there either. Blimey my week of exercise isnt going well at all:(

Did i mention that i have a friend's birthday meal on friday night? i will eat but hopefully there will be something nice and healthy. If not, i wont eat! But i shall be drinking as i hardly go out and i want to make the most of it! Nothing to bloody wear though so going to check out a few sites now xxx
 
Getting on the scales today was the first i have done so since i got weighed on friday and they just kept calling me this morning so in the end after about 2 hrs of em shouting i dam well gave in!! gggrrrr

I have never tryed the quorn sausages, did think about getting them when i went shopping saturday but in the end fogot them!!
I had chicken and mash for dinner tonight was yum,what with sorting out kiddies dinner at the same time i fogot to do myself some veg to go with it, it was only while i was eating it thet i realised no veg on plate!!, didnt have full quota of kcals at lunchtime either so today i am going to be under my 1200 kcals. still have a bar to eat which i shall have later b4 bed.
Friday night sounds good hun, i havent had a night out for ages!!. Hope you treat yourself to something nice to wear for friday huni.
