Hi Dobbie - thanks for checking in on us. Exercise hasnt really taken off yet:D BUT i have been for a walk this morning. I pushed ds in his pushchair all the way up a steep hill (15 mins) and then all around the cemetery ( another 45 mins). Bit weird perhaps to go to a cemetery but its really nice there with lots of grass and space for ds to run around! We even took a picnic! lol

Tara, my ds still insists on having his milk in a bottle. Luckily he's never wanted a dummy (just used to spit it out) so i've only got the one thing to wean him off! When we go round my friend's house her daughter is 8 years old and she always sneaks a suck on ds's bottle when her mum isnt looking! lol

Well, nearly done 2 litres so not too bad. My mum is on her way round and then i think we'll go and do abit of food shopping.

I have the sausages with stir fried courgette and mushroom plus another veg such as broccoli or cauliflower. I suppose we could add some couscous or potatoes too!

Right, off to clean the kitchen.

Jo at the age your son is its ok for him to have his milk from a bottle, my sisters little boy who is a similer age to your son still has his milk morning and night from a bottle.

mmmm the sausages with the veg sounds so nice
dunno whats wrong with me today but i am soooo hungry, and its not been helped by the fact i just had to go take a clean shirt to school for sian and a house i walked past had been cookink bacon, OMG the smell was amazing!!!

I need a bit of help/advice pleaaasssseee!! You guys are so close to goal now and I'm 14.5-17.5lbs off mine (depending on whether I go all the way to 8 stone 7 or stop at 8 stone 10lbs). I currently weigh 9 stone 10.5lbs and I'm guessing at next WI (Weds night) my CDC will suggest AAM for 1 week and then 790 (she suggested that I SS to BMI 25 then work up, despite the BMI + 1 stone rule :rolleyes:). So, I was just wondering really how long it took you guys to get the last stone off really?

Also, if you were me would you AAM for a week and then 790 for 1 or 2 weeks? Or miss AAM and just 790 for 2 weeks before going to 1000? Desperate to exercise again and can't until at least 1000 plan! What are your thoughts!!!

Its taken me 10 weeks to get this last stone off!:eek: It is slow, slow, slow:( but it may just be me - i'm not sure. My cdc says that everybody slows up towards the end but i suppose it just depends on your body and activity level. I've still got 3lbs to go till goal but will probably change my goal again to 9st and then i'll still have 7lbs to go. How tall are you Dobbie?

I'm not sure whether it would be better to aam then 790 or just go straight to 790. I think i would probably 790 straightaway as you'll have more energy and will be able to exercise a little.
 
10 weeks - blimey JJJ! Good on you for sticking with it though hun! Be sooo worth it in the end ;). Don't get me wrong, I'd love to be at/near goal now, but I don't mind how long it takes me to get there because it's staying off for good this time :D

I'm 5' 2 just about so just about BMI25 now, I was kinda swaying towards the 790 straight away thing (I know officially I'm supposed to be on 1000 by now but my CDC is a bit wishy washy about it all iykwim). So will do that for 2 weeks before swapping to 1000 I think. Just feel sooo lazy for not exercising :(.
 
i wish i could feel bad about not exercising:D Infact, i did go and have a look at the gym up the road today (well at least i got through the front door - its a start:p) and think i might join. Its a social club with a gym kinda attached so its nothing flashy but its got up to date equipment and supposedly doesnt get that busy. Just need to decide whether its going to be worth it for me - bit difficult to get out because if i'm not working then i'm looking after ds, so will have a think about it this afternoon.
 
I wouldn't be without my gym membership now. When I don't go at least 3/4 times a week I feel guilty for spending the money but most of the time I see it as me time and escape from my thoughts for an hour or so!! Could your OH not look after DS for a while in an evening??

Having said that, the gym isn't necessarily for everyone - it's a kind of love it or hate it type thing! All down to personal choice I guess!! Didn't I read somewhere that you go kickboxing and horse riding? It's not like you don't do any exercise then!!
 
dh works every evening - we own 2 bars so its not as if he's even home early enough for me to pop out!

You are right i do go horseriding but only half an hour each week which probably doesnt do an awful lot! And yes i did start back at kickboxing but i haven't been for 4 weeks:( when i get in from work on a Monday i find it hard to get the motivation to go back out again! lol
 
OMG .... like your life isn't hectic enough hun!!! All go in your household!!

I know exactly what you mean about getting home and not wanting to go out again ... I have to go to the gym before work at 6am as I can't face it the other end of the day. Just wanna curl up and chill out after a hectic day!! I suppose the only bonus to that is that my work-outs are unfuelled as I can't eat before I go so the whole time I;m there I'm buring fat. Actually, not really sure how I put the weight on!! LOL!!!

Today's walk with DS sounds energetic - up a hill and round a grave yard! I'm sure if you commit to do that a couple of times a week you'll soon see the difference. Walking is the best exercise for fat buring ;)

I ss'd more or less right up to bmi 25 dobbie,then over the last few weeks i have worked through the plans so now i am on the 1200plan. It seems like it has taken forever to get this last bit off, but if i had stuck to my original goal of 9st then i would be at goal all but a lb !!!,but about four weeks ago i changed my goal to 8st 10lb,hence why i still have 5lb to go!!

As to aam or straight into 790 am not sure whats best,but if you want to up the exercise a little then it would probally be best to go straight into 790 xx
 
Thanks hun, that's quite handy to know you SS'd right up to BMI25 too! So as from Thursday then I'm on 790 for a couple of weeks then off up to 1000plan to start back at the gym!!
 
I actually can't wait - very sad I know! But it helps to get my day started well and I find if I gym before work then I'm good all day as I don't want to ruin my morning's efforts!! The mind games we play eh?!

You had a good day chick?? BTW well done on getting to 9 stone 1! How tall are you hun?
