Hi everyone. Been looking for a diet plan that would get me interested and excited and think i might have found it. Bit about me- i'm 51 married with 3 grown up kids(most of the time anyway)2 granddaughters and a new baby grandson. Been halfheartedly dieting for as long as i can remember and enoughs enough. Spent too many years sat at home not wanting to socialise and mix with people cos i've got no confidence. Going on holiday 7 weeks today so time to crack on. Been reading that keeping a diary really helps so here goes. Figure even if no one else reads it it will help me keep on the straight and narrow but would really welcome any help, support and advice x

As the others say, it's a bit quiet here at the moment - but you will love it, full of very friendly folk who have lots of answers and are happy to share advice :)

hi lin, welcome in! and all the best with atkins, it really is the easiest 'diet' of all, delicious food and plenty of it, what more could you ask for?

Thank you all for the welcome. What a nice bunch you are!! Well it's day 2 and had a cheeky peep at the scales.Yay!! Know it doesn't mean anything but it's spurred me on. Shopping for the book today so i can get the supplies in and try some of the recipes. Think i'll be on here a lot for advice and support as everyone i've told says i'm stupid for doing this. I'm gonna prove em wrong!!

Made the cheesecake but not sure if i' m allowed that yet

Morning all. DAY 3 and still loving it but think i overdid the cream so gonna be stricter and stick to meat fish and veg today. Think i got bit carried away with the novelty of being able to have it on a diet. Found out i'll be having an operation in August so want to lose as much as i can before then, but my first goal is for my hols in 7 weeks. Want to feel comfy not be walking round covered up,sweating with swollen feet and my shorts stuck up my bum. Not a good look!!!:flirt2:

Hi. Hope everyone's ok.Loving this diet. Made the cheeseburger pie yesterday and all loved so having it again for tea. Had a holiday gear trying on session and looks bloody awful. Given me the kick up the a*** i needed!!!

Your meal choices sound good Lin but why not put everything on here and we can keep an eye on what you're having?

Thanks Susie. I'll start doing that cos i'm not sure i'm doing it right. Hope the postman brings my book today. Not feeling well. Sore throat and achey so not really fancying food at all so not sure what i'll have today. Hope you're all having a good day x

:DAtkins flu??? Is this part of the process? Should i be happy to feel rubbish then? They'll all think i've gone completely mad if i smile when i sneeze :D

Woo hoo. Not been half as bad as i thought it would up to now. Not told many people cos they all had a horror story to tell me. Just shows you need to try things for yourself. Thanks

Hi Leanne. Feeling pretty c*** but i'll live. Started this on Sunday but want Friday as my weigh in day so been on the scales and amazed to see i've lost 6lbs even after my blip. I'm a poorly but happy bunny. How are you getting on??
