LL STARTERS IN JANUARY 2007

Lol don't you worry Amanda I'll post :D What you all need to do is tell me when to stop posting when you're sick of seeing them all - have always been a chatterbox and we might find that it shows on here :)

You don't realise how much of a boost you saying that I now feel how you felt is ---- if I can do anywhere near as well as you have done I would be just one of the happiest people going. I've got to be honest and say that apart from my weight I really love my life, gorgeous hubby, 3 great kids and yet so miserable inside all the time cos of something stupid like weight .... but not for much longer!

Hi everyone

Hope all is well with you all this morning.

Today I am going to set myself some goals, need to get this weight loss moving & re-focus - feeling very positive & motivated (perhaps the 1/2 lb loss last night has given me a kick up the arse I need) I have been messing around with not eating packs and not drinking enough water and my weight loss has reflected this.

I am now 11 stone 3.5 - I AM going to get into the 10's by next weigh in - by hook or by crook

I am going to get my backside into gear & start some excersise REGULARLY not hit & miss like I have been doing these past weeks.

I am going to drink MINIMUM 4 litres EVERY day and not think crooked thoughts like the more I drink the more I will weigh :eek: .

Anyway now I have said it I AM going to do & you are all my witnessess. As a result of my messing around I have committed myself to a longer period of abstinence and delaying me achieving my weight loss goals - makes no sense. I am finally getting a grip on that slippery slope & feeling in control again.

Long may this feeling continue - Raaaaarrrrrr!!!!

Hiya Skinny, it is so great to hear tow positive you are today, well done you...I know you can do it as you have done so well alreadyy, good on ya for picking yourself back up, much respect ((((((high fives))))))!!

I weighed in last night and lost 4.5lbs!!! can't believe it as have been eating as on week 1 of management, well chuffed though!!!

Hi all

I lost another 4lbs last night ! I also finally owned up to checking my height out and I am 5.3 which means I should lose even more weight ! I am going to keep my goal at where it is and see if I can move it once I get to it. I can't face doing anymore than 14 weeks though ! New stats are below ...............

Hi supermum

We seem to be at the same stages, I am 5.3 and started at 14stone 4 - now 11 stone 4 hoping to get into the 10's next week. I like you am not too happy about having to do anymore than 14 weeks - but thinking of another 4 weeks in development and then into management. I (stupidly) set myself a goal of 8 stone which is the lower end of my normal weight - it seems like an impossible dream at the moment.

How have you been finding it?

I set my goal at 10.5 which was 1lb off the top of my bmi (at 5.4) but now my top end should be 10.2 so I think I am going to set myself a goal of 9.12. I saw my Doctor today and he was wowed and said 9 stone would be great but equally 9.12 was fine. I jsut can't imagine being 9 anything !!!!

I have to be honest I am not finding LL too difficult but I worry that if I am finding it okay will I let it all go when I can eat food. I have decided that I won't do any more than the 14 weeks - I have a weekend away planned and a wedding to attend and I had it in my head that I would be eating by then and I think I would cheat if was still ssing. I have not cheated once so I really don't want to let myself down.

I found out today that I am the talk of the school gates with everyone commenting on my choice of weight loss - normally I would be bothered but I don't really care - those that are slim don't understand and those that are overweight are trying to sabotage me and I will not let that happen.

Good luck with reaching your goal - you will need loads of new clothes if you get to that weight !!!!

Lets keep up with one another seeing as we have a similar height, start weight goal to reach for !:p
 
hi all

only lost 1lb this week but TOTM so ok about it. I seem to only lose a little for a few weeks and then a boost - hopefully this may continue!

Majorly stressful week - not only is my flat on the market and I put in an offer for another one but didn't get it, I'm also away through work all week and staying in a hotel. This is first night I've had internet access - hence no posts since weekend!

With all of that I was so tempted to eat yesterday but texted one of my fellow LL classmates and she was fab in sending me such positive texts, which stopped me from losing it!! I'll be really chuffed if I make it through to tomorrow night without giving in as it really has been a hard week.

Have decided to lower my target weight - not by a lot, but a wee bit better for me. Toots could you update my stats as follows - thanks.

Hope you're all well - know I won't get through other threads tonight as limited access to internet and others want it!

Absolutely!!! I am finding it quite a struggle these last few weeks to be honest, but trying get back my focus and so hope I can see it through. Some days are ok & some days I do not think I can cope.

Why do people think they have a right to voice their opinions on our business - it really does irritate me, I have had lots of negative comments about my choice of weight loss - why can't people mind their own business, I wouldn't mind but I find the people who have the most to say are the ones that do not really know me.

I think my problem is that I used to be 8st 4 (not that long ago) and due to various reasns (some of which I am discovering) I put alot of weight on. I want to get that person back - but not sure if it is possible - but at this stage would be really happy to get to 10 stone so I am trying to focus on one stone at a time & then we will see.

You are right to be concerned. Our thoughts (unconscious) are really powerful and can, if we are not aware of them, sabotage any progress we make. However, you are learning how to cope with these thoughts when you do the LL counselling and when the time comes, you will start putting into practice everything you have learned. If you can practice thinking (visualising) doing this, it will make everything easier.

Similarly, if you start thinking that you will cheat, you may be more likely to (give yourself permission). When these thoughts come, do a thought record and take some time to write down your thought processes. It's all in your head, Supermum. And that's where you will win or lose.

The most effective way you can 'fight back' against these peoples' comments, it to succeed with LL and keep maintaining once you've got to goal. That'll shut them up! On the other hand, you might find that one or two people might try it for themselves and ask you for advice!

Feeling good today, did not manage to drink all my water yesturday but am making a very special effort to do it today.

The weather has turned a but cold today, although it looks like a georgous spring morning but I hear snow is on the way Brrrrrrrr!!!!!

I bought some size 12 clothes from ebay & they arrived yesturday - tried them on and of course do not fit - so that will be my motivation to get into the 10's this week and I will try them on each week to see if they fit.

I have another pair of 14 trousers on today and again they are a real confortable fit so am pleased with that for now :D
