Look what happened 1/2 a mile away from me!

It was bittersweet. I remember them from being a little girl. When I lived away they were a sign I had come home. Strange to look out this morning and them not be there.
The fall was spectacular - and very quick! There have been lots of clips uploaded to youtube. The north tower did not fall properly and had to be assisted to finally collapse in on itself at 5 am.
 
I have seen on TV when high rise blocks of flats have been demolished and it's amazing.

I see what you mean about it being the sign of coming home. For me it's the Clifton Suspension bridge. You can see it from the train as you are coming into Bristol from the South West

I saw this on the news and it was amazing!

They were such a familiar land mark I can see why you would miss them Spooky as I am sure so do many others.

I love the way the first one stops half way down as if waiting for the other one to catch up!
