I'm really looking forward to joining you all on this journey and cant wait for my things to arrive tomorrow and to get started. Feel really ready for this after feeling let down with myself and need to take a step back, a step outside of the usual and ready to try something different, best of all something disciplined. I reached around 190lbs from 140lbs and am currently around 171lbs and have really struggled to get any lower, run out of steam so to speak.

Any help, tips and advice much appreciated. Hoping to start this on Friday. xxxx Good luck to all.

Hi jasper. Good luck for friday then! The first 3 days are hard but after that it gets easier and hopefully u will see a good loss and that will motivate u even more.

Thanks Sparkle - its great to have this support and new community. I feel like this is the new beginning and feel really positive that this disciplined way will suit me down to the ground. x

Welcome jasper :) good luck for your first week, be sure to let up know how you're getting on! This diet has proved perfect for me, I hope it is the same for you and you'll be back to your old self in no time! Make sure to keep hydrated and try to do a little exercise most days

Thanks Smidge, great to hear it suits you, I feel this may suit be down to the ground. I'm well prepared and determined to make this work, will get weighed, take measurements first thing and document it on my sheet. Feel like I should be having a type of last supper or something..............The journey starts here...........xxx

Do it. Have a lovely evening and enjoy whatever u want to eat. Carb overload and then ur body will be shocked tomorrow. Ull have a great loss and u will be so motivated to continue. Good luck and hope u enjoy ur first day. This is the beginning of the new u!

Thanks so much Sparkle, really appreciate the shout. Well that's my first 24 hours over with and have to say, the meal replacements were fine, I can hack that as I was 100% ready to do this. I decided I was going to do this with perfection, ie just drink water or their drinks mix which I have to say are v nice. That of course meant 24 hours no caffeine coffee, tea, (diet coke which I know isnt allowed anyhow thankfully) etc...... and for that reason I believe I felt extremely rough by the end of the night. I had an early night after a swim and feel much better now.

Really wanted to knock caffeine on the head too as I have way too much of that and am not keen on being drawn/addicted to anything. Needed to cleanse etc..........

I'm already thinking about the weeks ahead as time flies. I've a holiday exactly 4 weeks today and whilst yes that is an incentive, i'm not only doing this for that reason, going forward I want the weight off and keep it off, this has gone on far too long. I tried other methods to shift weight and have hit a brick wall hence Exaante.

So 4th week I guess its low calorie week as the plan suggests and the holiday week, well its self catering but I'm still unsure how to deal with it. Most certainly do not aim for a week stuffing my face, holiday or not.........those habits have to be a thing of the past....Surely part of doing this is to enjoy food in normal and healthy amounts, no matter what day of the year it is..........

Anyhow, thanks again, really finding this network of support helpful xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey Jasper, glad you're feeling better after a rough first day! Good luck for day 2!

You sound just like me, I started with the same passion and have been 100% since (including only water and drink mix)! It can be tough but it's totally worth it and does work! It's handy that your hols comes in week 4, it's still early into the diet so you probably won't be so bored and desperate to eat real food you go crazy!

Are you off anywhere nice? You might need some new clothes by then even after just 3 weeks :D

Thanks Smidge, I think I needed to be 100% at this, no ifs and buts, been full of those before. Needed to strip back so to speak and treat my body with the respect it deserves. A lovely active holiday to France looming where I don't intend blowing my efforts, this has to be for the long haul this time, not just a quick fix. And yes, think its best to buy clothes nearer the time. Its great you have done so well.

That sounds lovely and the active side of it will make the diet even easier to stick to! Who wants to be up and active when they are all bloated from rubbish / too much food! :)

hey everyone! i am starting tomorrow back on exante after falling off the bandwagon this week so i thought i would join the forum for a bit of support. it is very hard in work as i work in a kitchen so am constantly making sandwiches and there are snacks everywhere. i lost a stone doing the cambridge diet for 3 weeks but then found exante online and switched to that (cheaper) but finding it a bit of a struggle, as on total solution its 3 products only where as on cambridge it was the 3 products and a 200 cal meal, for the same total cals. starting back tomorrow on total solution at 12 stone.. 35 days til my holiday so hoping to lose at least a stone before going! ready to go for it. just wondering how much exercise everyone does and how often? :)

Hi exantedietgirl........good luck to you, I'm only on day 3 and its been harder than expected but I put that down to the fact I was drinking so much caffeine and haven't had any since doing this, plus of course the low carbs/cals etc..........feeling much easier now so hoping this will get better, don't want to give up and its helped reading on here that it gets easier after day4 etc.......... I know its hard but we have to find a way to get the weight off and keep it off and I guess where there is will, there is a way no matter what temptations are there.......again god luck. I'm doing a swim most days to keep toned and its not been a struggle despite how rough I've felt.

hey exantegirl, good luck for your first day! How are you feeling today Jasper, you're right after about day 4 when you fully reach ketosis it's much easier :)

Hi Smidge, aside from banging headaches again today, despite drinking copious amounts of water which seems to help on and off, I'm feeling ok. Things seem to have settled down in terms of having a tired moment in the afternoon so I'm now hoping this will be straight fwd. I've got used to not thinking about food and am looking forward to some good news on the scales on Friday, cant believe day 4 almost done already, where does time go. I'm actually enjoying meal times and looking forward them, sad or what.

Hope you are ok.

Ha ha I really look forward to my bar in the eve, I've even been considering buying them when I'm off! Glad you're getting into the swing of it now, Friday will be a fab day!

I'm doing good, day one of week 11 today and only 3 weeks to go before re-feed! Just cleared out my wardrobe of lots of too big clothes so I'm happy happy :D

That's fantastic Smidge, well done you, fantastic feeling having less bodily weight to carry around, amazing how many areas of our lives it can improve.

That's true! I think I'd be horrified if I picked up something that weighed the same as I've lost!

So that's my first week of 100% total solution, only drank water or their mixes in hot water and the odd soda water and hasn't bothered me at all, glad to be rid of the caffeine. All headaches gone by day 5 and really pleased with my first weigh in, just what I needed a good kick up the backside to shift out of the 12's and already almost at my first goal.

Here's to week two, thanks for the support already.xxxxxx:wow: 9.5lbs down in first week.

Yay!! Fab loss well done for sticking at it! Now you're in the zone it'll be a breeze :D
