LPV's Road to Target!

It's taken me since beginning of December to lose this half stone. Blumming slow stuff. Hope my loses pick up again cos I used to get big loses x

Pennies are even more tight now as we have £5 till next wed!!
Breakfast: nothing
Break: 4 biscuits from staff room
Dinner: Whatever wonders I can buy from the canteen at school!
Tea: beans probably!

Hey hunni.

How about going to the supermarket and buying there "value" range, sainsburys do a huge bag of pasta for less than £1 and there value beans and tinned tomatoes are not bad at all. Last night I was just comparing value stuff online as last month we had the tesco value ketchup because it practically gets drunk in our house and it was delicious. We are always buying it now! Anyway comparing stuff last night and for like £10 I could get 30things! Just an idea x

Hope the bank or a friend can help you out. Agree with the value range things - I have to eat as cheaply as possible until I get back to work so lots of pasta, rice, chopped tomatoes, passata, frozen veg etc. smart price bran flakes are nice I prefer them to Kellogg's and only 77p for a massive box! Herbs and spices make cheap boring food fun and tasty :) for snacks if it's more than a pound for a multipack I don't buy it ;-) x

Thanks. I think I will have to start looking at value stuff. Think it may be getting sorted out now so gunna plan my menu. Think I might try a green week x

If you need any help on green or eating cheaply just let me know. Depends on what you have local to you but some random ideas/tips. Aldi or lido much cheaper for fruit and veg than supermarket. Add grated carrot or lentils to dishes to bulk them out and make them go further. Farm foods chopped tomatoes 3 tins for a pound and nicer than value ones (value tend to be but watery but fine in dishes as they reduce anyway), also 2 bags of pasta for £1, frozen fruit/veg also £1, cheap bags of onions/carrots/bananas/potatoes think they are all 69p. Nicest value pasta is sainsburys it's 100% durum wheat which most cheap ones aren't so get less off that wierd white starchy scum when cooking it, also their basics frozen berries are really cheap and nice with yoghurt. Asda smart price branflakes very nice but avoid the value weetabix Bleh! Packs of dried soya mince are cheaper than quorn and really handy as just use what you need add to dishes with some extra water or stock. Make loads of cheap veg soup with whatever veg is kicking about - tesco veg stock cubes are super cheap either 10p or 16p a pack price goes up and down. Dried beans are a bit more effort than canned as need soaked over night but cost very little and make LOADS. X

Managed to get some money together!
Had chicken and bacon tagliatelle for tea with a philly sauce.
Made some Chinese style soup for my dinners this week n had a bowl of that too cos it smelt so good!

So much for a green week. Back to red lol. My problem is that I dont like a lot of the stuff and prefer my 'meat' (chicken).

Cycled to work this morning.
Breakfast: 2 x banana
Dinner: SW chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup. (chicken stock, chicken, baby corn, broccoli, peppers, egg)
Tea: I am making samosas with SW chips and Mayflower?? Chinese curry sauce. YUM YUM

Going to look at my boudoir shoot photos tonight and going to do the shred when I get home :)
