Hello :)

I'm a previous member of Slimming World and lost a stone in 2009.

I then met my boyfriend and needless to say have since gained everything I once lost.... :eek:

It's taken a long time to get started again but feel a lot more determined this time around.

I've also decided not to weigh myself and instead make sure I can get back into clothes which are currently too tight! Last time I became very obsessed with weight and was always a slow loser (i.e. it could take a month to lose 1lb) and it became disheartening.

Anyway I thought I'd start a food diary to keep me on track. I started on Monday so will stick both of those days on here too.


Monday 31/1/11 Red Day

Breakfast: 2 Chocolate Weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) and semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Vegetable soup, 3 ryvita crackerbreads (3 syns), 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (HEA2), Vanilla Activia Yoghurt

Tea: Beef casserole (Stewing steak, carrots, onions, green beans, chopped tomatoes) with leeks, carrots and swede

Snacks: Muller Light, 1 Fibre Plus Bar (HEB2), Satsuma, Apple, Options hot chocolate (2 syns), French Fries (4.5 syns)

Total syns: 11.5

Remaining syns: 93.5/105



Tuesday 1/2/11 Red Day

Breakfast: 2 Chocolate Weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) and semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Vegetable soup, 3 ryvita crackerbreads (3 syns), 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (HEA2), Wafer thin ham, Vanilla Activia Yoghurt

Tea: Bacon, Quorn Sausage, Quorn Fillet and Scrambled Egg

Snacks: 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB2), Apple, Satsuma, Fun size milky way (3.5), Muller Light

Total syns: 8.5

Remaining syns: 85/105



Wednesday 2/2/11 Green Day

Breakfast: 2 Chocolate Weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) and semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Mug shot, 3 ryvita crackerbreads (3 syns), 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (Half of HEA2), Vanilla Activia Yoghurt, French Fries (4.5)

Tea: SW chips and baked beans

Snacks: 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (Half of HEA2) Apple, Satsuma, Fibre Plus bar (HEB2), Fun size milky way (3.5), Muller Light

Total syns: 13

Thursday 3/2/11 Green Day

Lunch: Mug shot, 3 ryvita crackerbreads (3 syns), 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (Half of HEA2), Vanilla Activia Yoghurt, French Fries (4.5)

Tea: Jacket potato and baked beans with side salad (Meal out. Resisted the Burger and chips my friend was eating. Big achievement!)

Snacks: 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB2), Apple, Satsuma, Skinny Cow Chocolate Ice Lolly (4.5), 2 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (Half of HEA2)

Total syns: 14

Remaining syns: 58/105


Think OH wants to go to Nando's tomorrow night so will try the spicy rice as I've heard it's a free choice on Extra Easy?
 
So I'm back again. Been lurking for a while but been back on plan for over a month now and decided to weigh myself again to give me something to aim for.

My target is 10 stone (but may go lower than that when I get there) and I am currently 10 stone 9lbs. I STS this week as star week is due any time now. I have lost around 7lbs so far.

Will attempt to keep up with my food diary again, so here goes...


Tuesday 26th April 2011 Red Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Six Ryvita crackerbreads (HEB2) with three laughing cow light cheese traingles (HEA2) and ham slices

Tea: Extra lean minced beef meat loaf with butternut squash chips and roasted vegetables

Snacks: Onken fat free vanilla yoghurt, French Fries (4 syns), Apple, Mattensons Mighty Bite (1/2 syn), 6 Mikados (3 syns)

Total syns: 9 1/2

Had a nice shock this morning when my car insurance renewal arrived. They want £800, that's an increase of £300! So my second day off this week has been spent trawling price comparison sites... (My day off yesterday consisted of getting an injection...)

Foodwise has been really good. Plan to make Quorn nuggets for tea tonight. Never tried them before so hope they're good.

Wednesday 27th April 2011 Green Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Quorn sausage pasta bake with 42g mozarella cheese (HEA2)

Tea: 6 Quorn Nuggets (3 syns) with SW chips and baked beans

Snacks: Vanilla Activia Yoghurt, Fibre plus bar (HEB2)

Total syns: 5

Thursday 28th April 2011 Red Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Went out for a carvery with my friend. I had turkey and gammon (fat removed), carrots, green beans, one yorkshire pudding (3 syns) and gravy (2 syns)

Tea: Hunter's chicken (chicken breast wrapped in bacon with the fat removed, topped with syn free BBQ sauce and mozarella cheese, HEA2) with potato wedges (HEB2) and veggies

Snacks: Muller light, Apple, 6 Mikados (3 syns)

Total syns: 10

Friday 29th April 2011 Green Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: 50g wholeweat coucous made with chicken stock and onions served with one cajun spiced quorn fillet

Tea: Baked bean lasagne topped with 42g mozarella cheese (HEA2) with potato wedges

Snacks: Onken fat free vanilla yoghurt, Apple, 10 Mikados (5 syns), Fibre plus bar (HEB2), French fries (4 syns)

Total syns: 11
 
Saturday 30th April 2011 Green Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Tomato, onion and herb pasta and sauce packet

Tea: 6 quorn nuggets (3 syns) with cajun spiced potato wedges and baked beans

Snacks: Apple, Vanilla Activia yoghurt, Fibre plus bar (HEB2), Slice of SW chocolate cake (2 syns), French fries (4 syns), Muller light, 2 mikados (1 syn), 3 laughing cow light triangles (HEA2)

I worked both Friday and Saturday night this weekend and I always save my syns to snack on while I'm there. Had a BBQ today and stayed on plan, but also * week has arrived so I am having serious chocolate cravings. Have eaten loads today...

Sunday 1st May 2011 Red Day

Lunch: 6 ryvita crackerbreads (HEB2) with 3 Laughing cow light triangles (HEA2) and ham slices

Tea: BBQ :) 2 Morrisons eat smart sausages (1 syn), 3 beef burgers (made with extra lean mince), Roasted vegetables, Chicken tikka skewer (made with fat free natural yoghurt, curry powder and chilli powder), salad

Snacks: Strawberries topped with a muller light, Fibre plus bar (5.5 syns), Half a fudge (2.25 syns), Vanilla Activa yoghurt, French fries (4 syns), Mattensons mighty bite (1/2 syn)

Total syns: 15.25

So I'm 1lb down which makes me 10 stone 8lbs which I'm pretty pleased with. 8lbs till target :)

I've got my final essay of the year to write. It's due on Friday and I really can't be bothered. I start back at placement tomorrow so my evenings will be fun this week...

Due to some super organisational skills (and the fact I need more time to write this essay) I have made my lunch and tea for tomorrow so I can do tomorrow's food diary...

Lunch: 50g wholeweat couscous mixed with chicken stock, worcester sauce, onions and one cajun spiced quorn fillet

Snacks: Alpen Light (3 syns), Fibre plus bar (HEB2), Strawberries topped with a Vanilla activia yoghurt, French fries (4 syns), Muller light

I have lived on Green Days this week as I prefer them and I need carbs to help me get through this essay. Today has been a really lazy food day as I overslept and just haven't had the time to cook properly. Can't wait till this essay is handed in on Friday.

Wednesday 4th May 2011 Green Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Tomato and herb mug shot, 3 ryvita wholegrain crackerbreads (Part HEB2) and 4 Laughing Cow Light Triangles (HEA2)

Tea: 6 Quorn nuggets (3 syns), SW chips and baked beans

Snacks: Alpen Light (Part HEB2), Vanilla activia yoghurt, French fries (4 syns), Muller light, Apple, Fibre plus bar (5.5 syns)

Total syns: 14.5

May up my syns later and have something involving chocolate. Also need some fruit today.

Finally finished my essay, no more till next year now so I'm very happy.

I was at work last night (I do sleepover shifts as a support worker) so another green day.

Friday 6th May 2011 Green Day

Now I've overloaded on the green days this week and will be treating myself to a carvery lunch today so will have a red day.

Saturday 7th May 2011 Red Day

Breakfast: Two chocolate weetabix (HEB1 + 2 syns) with semi skimmed milk (HEA1)

Lunch: Carvery :) Gammon and turkey (with fat removed), vegetables, yorkshire pudding (3 syns) and gravy (2 syns)

Tea:
Chicken wrapped in bacon with fat removed, topped with syn free BBQ sauce, 42g mozzarella cheese (HEA2), potato wedges (HEB2) and carrots

Snacks:
Vanilla activia yoghurt, strawberries topped with muller light yoghurt, Fibre plus bar (5.5 syns)

Total syns: 12.5

Before I started SW I used to love loads of roast potatoes when I went to the carvery. Now I have no potatoes at all. I think the yorkshire pudding makes up for it (plus I overload on the vegetables).

So I've just got in from a night out. I drank diet coke all evening, sat in the takeaway with my boyfriend and family and drove everyone home whilst they ate pizza and chips. I had nothing and rewarded myself with a fibre plus bar when I got home.

I'm a saint.
