Lurk no more, fat no more

Woohoo cheers love. I was quite surprised - I weighed up 200g of this rice I had which was 600 cals and it made LOADS I bulked it out with broccoli, green beans, kidney beans, cabbage and peas and I had about 1/3rd of it, which came in at around 280 cals, I was surprised it was so low! Having another third of it for lunch today with loads of salad :)

Am feeling even more in the zone with watching my cals, its made me think about what I'm eating more. Knowing how many cals something is makes me think twice about eating it! Besides I don't need to eat all of this food, I've been working very long shifts the last week and its fairly sedentary with the rubbish weather we have so I don't need more.

I feel like I've lost - hopefully a big amount!! If I could get back into or near the 14's it would be great :)

Woohoo :D I actually started my journey saying NO diet - no calorie counting, no points... etc. Then someone introduced me to MFP... and the rest is history :D best thing ever as you have now found out :D Hope you are well (you sound great :D ) xxx Here is to your big loss which I am sure is going to happen :D :D xx

I did it because I was curious about my carbs, and I've actually been under calories every day :) I find its easy for me to track what I'm eating as its done on my phone rather than a paper diary which I'd have to carry about. I set it to lose a pound a week and said I had a lightly active day, plus putting in exercise (today have walked 7.5 miles at work lol) so I'm wayyyy under, but generally I'm not going to eat more as I'm gonna lose weight from the exercise too. I can have 1800 cals a day which I thought was quite higher than I thought, and haven't gone over them in 4 days so must be doing right. MFP thinks ill lose 1 lb but I hope its a bit more :)

Im going to go and see my dad at the end of the year out in Malaysia, possibly in nov-feb so I'm going to try and get to or below 12 stone before then. 32.5 lbs to go, aiming for end of November :) will try go for 3 weeks and head to Vietnam/Cambodia too as not been there yet :) something to work towards, but first to get into the 13's again, hopefully by end of the month. And to get a new passport as mine is full :(

had a lovely day feeling much more focused and upbeat now, got 4 days off this week, a load of mates from London are coming up on the weekend for our mates wedding which is gonna be lush :) gonna get my allotment and garden in shape, clean thr house, gut my van and out my new vinyl floor in :) exciting times!!!

Ok I've reset my target to 12 stone, am gonna go for it. Think this will be my interim target at slimming world as I haven't even set one yet. Will see how it goes from 12 stone, I'm very curvy and even when I was thinner my butt was still huge so not sure how small I can go without looking ridiculous!!

Sounds like you know what you want and you'll achieve it :D Your week sounds good :) xx

12st sounds like a good interim goal to aim at = not too much pressure but enough to keep you on track
I too am fighting hard to get back into the 14's and I like your target
so if you dont mind I would love to keep a check on your progress - hopefully it will inspire me to stick with it :)

have a great day and keep eating what works for you - I dont eat rice (dont like it) but do a similar thing to your rice with tiny pasta or couscous which might make a change for you too

H xx

Will be lovely to have ya Aaleigha :) You're not far from the 200 mark, and after that, 4lbs off 14 stone...you can do it!!

Yeah I think 12 stone is good, i won't have to buy any new clothes for that size either apart from underwear as I HATE shopping and am skint anyway. Not too much pressure, but enough to keep me focused. Summer is going to be hard, I work at a lot of festivals and they are just booze and junk food!! I'm taking my campervan along this year though with my kitchen and fridge so hopefully I can minimise the damage and not eat rubbish the whole time. Have weaned myself off cider now so it feels like a proper treat when i do have one...good steps in the right direction :)

that is one thing I cant give up - alcohol- not I might add because I drink a lot but because I gave up alcohol a long time ago now about 5 years - I do have a glass of bubbly at christmas wedding anniversary and a few other special occaisions but not often :)

will be doing my best - I am due to see my consultant to have a meds checked in two weeks - they are not working as well as I hoped and one of them is known to make you very hungry and slow the metabolism so I need reasonable targets and yours seems very doable - for me it will mean a clothes size down BUT I have a load of size 16s so wont need to buy anything except like you underware I cant stand baggy knickers - more chance of getting them in a twist :) and I need a good bra as I am a bigger lady :):)

Oh I haven't given up ;) I love booze. But, being on SW made me realise that its not my diet that's bad, but my drinking. Plus there are other reasons I shouldn't drink much, that I've been ignoring. I rarely drink at home now, only on a night out where I let rip and enjoy - sometimes one or two is enough and sometimes I go on a bender. But this is a lot, lot less than I used to which is only a good thing :)

I used to me on antidepressants and they made me soooooo hungry!! Put on an awful lot of weight. I think I'm back to were I was before the tablets started now, and clean off em too for nearly a year :) Feeling much better, but its cyclical so I don't doubt that I will have to use them again. At least I know what works and what will happen on the side so can prepare for it. As for bras, don't get me started!!! My boobs are huge, and a pain in the proverbial to buy for, 32DD not the most common size around :/ plus I'm fussy, only like balcony bras that are well fitted so that narrows it down to M&S who are damn expensive. I only have 2 on a constant rotation as I just don't have the money for more. will be nice for you to fit into old clothes, its like your turning the clock back...I'm dreading the day mine don't fit though

Well my meds are for a similar reason - I have had a recent diagnosis of bipolar and the side effects of the meds are horrendous - I too have been on and off anti D's for years but had what my doctor termed a psychotic episode so the psych team got involved at my request
so for me its weigh in tomorrow - I only go every two weeks as said I was a shift worker - being unemployed I really cant afford to pay for every week - but thats fine as the weight loss will be slow - as you understand - so at least I should show a loss each time

both my daughter and I have bra issues I am a 36f and she is a 30H so we both have to go to a specialist to get a proper fitting - so like you have only two on rotation - but that is fine if we are going to lose weight as we will need new ones at some point - I was thinking of getting a couple of ahh bras to go over my normal one for the extra support if they get a little big and I get between sizes -

I am sure you will be in new clothes shortly and maybe treat yourself to a new dress come christmas - so you have something you feel really comfy in

right off to do some more visiting :)

H xx

Ahh wicked is your daughter doing it too. That's lovely you are doing it together :)

i am glad I'm off the meds but boy did they make a difference. I do feel quite wobbly at times but I've not lost the plot yet so I'm doing well I think :) am not sure when I'll need new clothes, all of my stuff is Lycra/stretchy stuff and I'm now seeing at I was buying stuff a few sixes too small as its now starting to fit how it should have hah! I've got another stone or so before I have to worry which is great!

Had another good day today - not much exercise mind as I was on the phone and sorting bills out for most of the day. Then it rained hard until I came to work tonight so no outdoor fun, finish work tomorrow at 3 and not weighing in until 5.30 so gonna go for a nice long 2 hour walk, I hope it doesn't rain!! Then I got a jam packed weekend!!! I'm hoping I've had a loss tomorrow, feeling like maybe 2-3 lbs possibly more...then again it's hard to tell!!

Oh its my weigh in today - not holding out much hope as I have been SO hungry and even though slimming world say eat to your hunger - I dont think they include how hungry I get :) so even though they dont sanction it I will have to cut back portions

a nice long walk before weigh in sounds good to me - lets hope it makes a difference for you

today I am going to weigh in then the doctors (just to book a blood test) then back home to do some crafty things - that picture I made I took advice of possible price and been told 45 so lets hope it sells at the exhibition :):)

right off to visit a few more diarys before I go to weigh in :):)

Also got my platinum body magic :) did an 80 min walk before weigh in, was really nice actually and quite enjoyed it, was about 4 miles. Am going to push to do 2 more of those before next weigh in as well as gardening/allotment and hopefully a swim somewhere along the line! would love 2lb off next week but I've drank lots today and my mates wedding is tomorrow. Am going to eat super good tomorrow day, then drink and enjoy tomorrow night. Back on it Saturday morning, and hope that damage is undone by Thursday!

Woohoo!!! That's a fab loss! yay :D

Bl00dy hell what a fantastic loss so I want to know how you did that
I lost 1.5 so now into the 14's and got my half stone award - for me that was a good loss (it was over two weeks but I was expecting half a week so its brilliant)
my aim is to try for 7 by the end of June - I do have a holiday in there too :):)

if you have updated your stats you will soon be at the over weight category - that is a great achievement :):)

Ooooh well done you - its always lovely losing over your own expectations! I didn't think I was going to lose that much at all, was a lovely surprise! I just ate loads of superfree, had one meal a day which was fruit and yogurt, and lots of sucess express days with 2/3rds superfree.

Wedding yesterday was great - lovely to see everyone from London, took me back. They have all just left my house to head to our friends mum's for a BBQ, but I had one too many tipples last night and am not in a fit state to drive. Better to be safe! Plus I have work tomorrow and although I really wish I could go, its best not to as I'll be tired and not able to drink. PLUS I can get back on plan today!! Am going to head to the allotment in a bit once I've finished cleaning the house and potter about for a few hours to burn away the hangover, eughhhhh. I am hoping I haven't done too much damage, its going to be a tough week as I am working straight through to Thursday so apart from today, not much opportunity to exercise!!!

What a awesome fantastic loss hun huge congrates xxx

I will be having more super free in that case
so breakfasts as usual of fruit and fat free yog
then lunches can be veggie frittata
and dinners can be anything with half or more on the plate of superfree and I will see what happens - even if I only do that two - three days each week it should help

so glad the wedding went well
and yes I agree its much better to be safe - we went past two accidents today one a bike (that will be a right off) over the other side of the road from his mate with him on the floor still and a car pulled up
then within 15 mins at a bad junction two stopped cars and a range rover down the back into the hedge - also looked like a right off
at least at that one everyone was up and about even if a bit of blood
I told DH that from there he was not allowed to over take even if it were a milk float :)
I have a lovely day out apart from that

hope work goes well tomorrow and you arent still suffering from drink induced ill health :):)

Thank you all for your replies!!! xxx

I have worked off the hangover by going to the allotment for 150 minutes and grafting, I feel completley fine now. I think half of a hangover is an excuse to layabout, and whenever I get up and make myself do something, its never as bad as it first seemed. Now back home with me feet up, going to catch up on emails, eastenders, write meal plans for the week, go to supermarket, finish cleaning the house, have a bath, wash hair, do clothes washing, then rest LOL

@Aaleiga - your meal plans sounds great. I usually have fruit salad with yogurt (2 syns each as i can't have normal yog), then stir fry/savory rice/pasta/leftover dinner for lunch, then my dinners are anything and everything. Having a load of veg with dinner- about 12 different types!!! Am making some veggie risotto, and having a massive side salad with some dressing :) had a little bit of wedding cake this morning along with a small plate of buffet stuff we took home (bread, olives, pickled veg, 2 crackers) Don't think it was that bad, I'm definatley over my syns for the day but low on calories as I haven't eaten since (busy). I am hoping i can undo the liquid damage of last night with a very, very good week until Thursday...next weekend is a definite gain as I'm going to a festival in Oxford for the weekend and its a weekend of drinking. Food will be good though as I will have my van so can cook me own food :)
