Mackerel and mackerel pate

Gone a bit quiet
Tried this while in France. Worked well and mackerel are quite cheap. Stuff whole fresh mackerel with herbs and garlic. Use a tiny wipe of oil if barbecuing. Place on barbecue or under a grill on a dish and turn after about 8 minutes. Serve with salad.

I had two large mackerel left over so made pate. Take off the cooked fillets and mix in a food processor or with a stick beater with one or two hard boiled eggs, a tablespoon or so of quark and a tiny bit of lemon juice (really tiny just for a spot of acidity). Add black pepper and squish till smoothish. Serve with Dukan toast. I did this for a dinner party starter and it was very popular. I served with slices of lemon so those not on Dukan could add more.
