MinkyDinkys SW Success Diary!!

Well toes are still getting pins and needles but I am trying to bend them into shape and make it easier on my tootsies.

After a very long day (stupid neighbours woke me up again at 2am) and having no sleep this week I have popped a lovely little sleeping pill, waiting for the affects and hoping for a good nights sleep.

Fingers crossed! Night all :) xx

Loving the new profile pic! Do you bleach your hair first to get the red so bright? What dye do you use? Is it DIY or salon done?

Oh the questions! Lol

I've got a pair of these and they really work but have always been comfy. I think I had to get a different size to normal. Really sounds as though you've got the wrong size.

And if you want male/female depressing comparisons, I had a date with a 6 feet tall guy whose weight now is 1/2 a stone less than my final target. Bloody mortifying

I've got a pair of easytones and they've always been com

Thank you
No I dont bleach my hair although you may remember from my picture earlier I did used to have blonde hair! I then went from blonde to brown and it didnt suit me at all! So now I am red with my dark little strip. I tend to go to the hairdressers but when money is tight I top it up with the XXL live colour Red Passion.

My hairdressers also do what is called a "hotshot". Its for in between colours when its a bit faded and is a colour conditioner which is what I most recently had. It brings all the colour back without adding any more of the chemicals you normally would.

So part DIY, part salon. I owe a lot to my hairdresser! She is great at what she does and I am pretty much of the sense, do what you want with it! I went in for a trim and root touch up before and came out with 10 inches cut off and transformed to red! ha ha, bit of a shock to my mum :p

Do you colour your hair or look to doing something with it? xx

Oh no :( I dont know if they come in half sizes as it was the OH that bought them on line for me but they are my usual gargantuan size 8. My feet are quite wide (which is why I like the skater style trainer) and I think these ones are a lot narrower.

Maybe my feet will adapt and shrink and not be so bleeding wide! Its a nightmare when it comes to normal shoes too - I always search for the wide fit and love that more shops are accomodating for them now.

Next do a great selection of wide fit shoes, so much so I am going to get some new ones in the morning for my birthday :D

I use the Live colour red also DIY style (profile pic is old so my natural colour is a darkish brown) it looks lovely and red in the sunlight but nowhere near as bright as yours! Which is what im going for, I consider bleaching bit I know his much damage it can cause to hair, maybe I'm just not suppose to be bright red :)

The brightest colour I achieve is when I go to the salon for sure. Maybe get it coloured a bright red at a salon and then DIY top up. I done that for about 6 months when money was tight. Then the introduced the hotshots and for £15 it's really good. No fade just yet and it's 2 weeks to the day that I had it done.

I love being red :)

Good tip! Thanks! I shall do that, I'm booked in for Friday for a Christmas cut so I'll see if they can fit in a dye :)

Hi Minky

Just noticed in another thread that you are from Crawley too. Haven't had a chance to read thru yet, do you got to a class? I am going to rejoin in Jan and i've been a member of a couple of different ones...on the look out for ANOTHER new one.
Hope you don't mind me butting in your diary.....you have done really well and i'm looking for new year inspiration :)

Firstly big hello and welcome to Abigail'sMummy and Cleogin! Always nice to see a new face pop up :) any hints, tips, motivation and general chit chat are welcomed with open arms.

Secondly apologies for not being around recently - I have a respiratory infection and a blasted tummy bug. Boo! So diet has not been great, not awful mind but I have just felt shocking. Need to kick it before Xmas day as I am at my mums with the family and can't pass this on to my brother (very poorly and susceptible to infection and illnesses) or my little nephew. So drugs are in and rest is happening. Hate not doing exercise or being able to food shop, bloody shops have all food delivery slots booked up until after Xmas so haven't had any "decent" food in really. Bah. Ah well, am trying my best to keep food down (and in *eurgh*) and veg/fruit isn't the best thing for it atm.

Cleogin - which group you looking to join? I am thinking about rejoining in the new year as haven't been to class since august but might just be to get the new books and establish if my scales at home are working right :)

Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to the weekend! X x

I'm thinking maybe Maidenbower as they have a Saturday AM one. I think I might join up New Years Eve so that I can get started ASAP as I have been soooooo bad in December.
Can't wait for xmas day! Enjoy it :)

I was thinking of the pound hill one on a Tuesday night but that's the night I plan on doing badminton :( I don't drive so for me it's all location, location, location! Where in maidenbower is it? If it's walkable I might give that one a shot.

Starting the 30DS on Jan 1st too and then Feb is kettlebells! Ah!

Enjoy Xmas too :) xx

It's quite far at the back of Maidenbower, I think. I've been to the pound hill one, quite a few years ago and it was very good.

I've done 30 Day shred twice this year! It's a challenge!!!! Also done the Kettleworx and they are fab, I'm starting them again in Jan!

So far I have made pakora's and extremely hot pakora's for the OH, 1 syn veg samosa's, mincemeat filo parcels and filo cases to be filled with egg Mayo and tuna Mayo, prepared little sausages wrapped in bacon (24 made with 8x1 syn sausages) and decorated the tree finally!

Now to jump in the shower and get ready for xmas drinks with my best friend woo woo!

I did have a little nose at the picture - cheeky little do you got there :) I think if you bleach and dye in the new year, you should have a couple of shorter layers and a splash of really dark through the front layers. The colour you have is lovely, the red is a good colour and suits your face and skin tone. I bloody love hair! That and shoes are the girly bits about me and that's it! He he, at least they are the good bits ;) xx
