Hi

I've been reading your diary for a while and thought I'd say hello :)

Can I ask, do you make the humus yourself? I tried it the other day and it tasted horrid, I wondered if I'd done something wrong.

:)

Ok, I thought I was going mad..I went looking for your diary again and ended up on the other one. I thought you had deleted all your photos..eek. Glad I found your food again!. I love all your lunch ideas. Can I ask how you make your courgette fritter?..Bet it's lovely with the hummus.

Hello again :D
The Courgette fritters were dead easy but my frying pan decided that they would stick and I ended up turning it into more of a spanish ommelette type thingy. I will post the recipe when I get home tonight as it was in the SW magazine and off the top of my head can't remember :(

Hi R-E-D! Nice of you to stop by and say hello :)
As for the humus, what recipe did you follow? The one I did was again from the magazine but I tweaked it slightly as I couldnt fit 2 cans of chickpeas in my blender along with the other ingredients :D I will post the recipe later when home for the same reason as the fritters.

Hope you are both having a lovely day xxx

Hellooo minky! I'm a new starter ( been on EE for three days) and your food diary has inspired me to start my own! Will have to wait till i get my new phone though as i don't go on my laptop much!! Your meals look bloody gorgeous but if you don't mind me asking.. How much are you losing averagely a week? I eat quite similarly to you and was hoping to shed around 2lbs a week in time to bare the body on holiday in july! xx

Hi Laura-Jane! Firstly - Welcome to SW and minimins! Good choices of eating plans and website so far :D Secondly - weight loss averages at 2lb (2.09lb to be precise!) as I took a month off and had a few occasions off plan but all the time I am on (which works out just under 9 months) I have the average loss. Which is great! Sometimes I may have a weird gain - beginning of January I upped my exercise and I retained fluid ergo 1lb on - but then continued and lost the following week.

One thing I would recommend as you are still new and your body won't have changed is to grab a tape measure and measure different parts of you. With losing weight and if you also exercise, your body made lose inches rather than pounds so it's good to measure once a month or so.
How you finding it so far? Good luck to you! Xx

Ahh thats a good idea! Because i've started doing zumba about 3 times a week and i've heard when you up the exercise you tend to see a slower result on the scales, which would end up puting me off! So i think i will deffo get the measuring tape out tonight!

Thats amazing! I'll be happy with any loss if i'm honest but 2lb a week is my target! I'm finding it super easy so far, i did weightwatchers before but got so bored with all the point counting and put all the weight back on eventually, but i'm loving all the freedom sw gives you to eat eat eattt! I'll deffo be stealing some of your recipes ;) i havent been using many syns as i tend to go out at the weekend for a meal and a glass or two of rose, so i'd rather be good during the week and have a few extra syns for the weeekend!

Keep up the food diary :D i'll be starting mine soon xx

Minky - have you tried any of the recipes in this month's SW? I deffo need to get cooking and am in the mood to batch cook a stack of the Ragu sauce! Also some of the curry recipes look delish - especially the tandoori lamb xx

I love curry so I really look forward to trying some of the recipes.
