My fishy week!

I am still having the same if you cut your syns from what you normally have how you gonna know if it was the fishy week that gave you the loss or the cut in syns

Got on my scales this morning and its showing me at target but that is 1st thing in the morning and weigh in is usually evening on a weds but still days to go yet in fact this is the first time in probably 15 years my scales have said 9st something :D:D target is 9 13

Crab Stuffed Haddock

I've made this in the past and it's yummy! Thought you fishy women might like it! ;)

Just a few tweaks to make it SW friendly: use your wholemeal bread for your B allowance instead of the white bread, Frylight (obviously!), parmesan instead of romano as A choice, and butter Frylight instead of butter.

I haven't made this in ages but remember liking it the first time I had it! I also didn't role and stuff the haddock - I just lumped the stuffing on top and baked it.

had a lil bit of kipper with scrambled eggs with my breakfast.
lunch will be tuna-either with a salad or on wholegrain crackerbreads.
tea will be smoked haddock with a kinda cauli cheese, butternut squash and peppers.

i just cant wait to get on those scales monday and really hoping for a good loss.....just realised 4.5lb would give me my 2.5 stone award and leave me only needing a stone to target.....oh please, please, please!!!

well i've had tuna again for my lunch and i am still loving it lol!!!!

but i have bought smoked haddock for dinner, we'll see how i get on with trying that hehehe!!!!

I hope this fishy week is working !

I had pilchards on toast for breakfast, with a grapefruit. Then for lunch I had cheesy (HEA) tagliatelle and veg with salmon fillet placed on top...YUMMM. Tonight we're having breaded (HEB) alaskan polluck with roast potatoes and veg.

Mmmm hae you seen the thread, Fish chips and mushy peas? I've put my plan together for my meals for next week and doing mainly red days with 2 ee ones thrown in, when cooking for the family.. ie rice and patsa.

I have so far got:

Salmon fish cakes, and baked veg red
Seafood tagitelle ee
Prawn Curry and jacket red
Salmon and stir fry veggies with noodles ee
Fish pie topped with swede and carrot red
Cod, chips and peas red

Then have for lunches tuna, smoked mackerel, smoked salmon and prawns and mixed shellfish to go with either a whole meal roll, salad, pasta or rice.

Hope that gives me a good kick next week when I do that, as really need the help, hols 2.5 weeks away

Just popped back onto this forum and spotted this thread. It has been interesting reading all of the entries. What i have noticed is that we could all learn another lesson from you Snuggle. You have three main meals with only one or two bits of fruit in between and nothing much else. Do you think the fish has filled you up more so you are eating less in between? Well done on your losses and long may it continue for you xx

Well well well you wouldn't believe it i had smoked haddock for dinner and i really enjoyed it lol, thought i only really liked tuna he he he, got smoked cod for tomorrow night, tuna for lunch again tho lol

xx

Hiya BrightonRosie, to be honest thats pretty well all I ever have, but it may be easier for me as prior to joining sw I was only having 1000 calories a day so it doesnt take a lot to fill me up.

I am so glad that this thread has given so many people inspiration, and so many of us are trying new things and finding that we like them! I am almost finished on week 2 of fishy frenzy and still not bored, so long may it continue, and all the additional recipes from you guys really do make a difference!

My evening meal yesterday was sole fillet, new potatoes and salad. I then had strawberries and 0% greek yoghurt.
Sneaky pink and white in the evening for a couple of syns!!

Now for today...I got up at stupid o clock (4am) to go to the next sale...boy was it worth it came home like the cat that had the cream with a whole new wardrobe..but it was needed!!
Breakfast was smoked salmon, poached egg and small piece wholemeal toast (hexb)
Lunch - tuna sweetcorn and jacket potato
banana and apple mid afternoon
Dinner - baked salmon, new potatoes, and roasted veggies yummy yummy yummy!!
Melon, and mullerlight.

I could not help having a sneaky peak on the scales this morning and the loss is looking pretty good again, wont be as big as last week but if it stays like it is I will be happy.
Keep posting girls all these positive thoughts are really spurring me on xx

But haven't deceided yet exactly what having. :)

I am keeping syns as 'normal' ie, i have up to 15 per day but no more than 70 per week (usually) I am having quite a high syn weekend due to socialising (alcohol! :p) so going up to 15, but will be lower mon-weds (WI thursday for me)
Hoping for 3Ib loss this week, it will mean I have less than 20Ib to loose to hit target

I think like anything if you stick to the same thing over and over that your body gets used to it and the losses will eventually slow as they would anyway, but one week a month as a fish week should give a nice boost.

I am going to do ten days I think, if I dont get bored, because I started mid week and so I will WI on Monday and then run to the following Monday before switching again, just to see what effect it has over a full week.

Am planning to have fish SW chips and mushy peas as a post WI treat on Monday night, I had it without the chips last night because I am restricting carbs too, but as a one off for WI night I think that will be good. TBH, I dont miss the carbs anywhere near as much as I would, I am still having some via cereal bars etc, but not having pasta or potatoes or bread hardly at all. I have the odd packet of couscous tho coz I really enjoy that as a meal and it is very filling.

Morning all

I have just weighed in (3.5lb off for me :D) So NOW i can start my fish week:drool:...

here is my plan for today:-
  • 28g porridge oats (B)+1 ryvita*
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • mixed berries
  • banana
  • prawn + mango salad
  • melon
  • salmon burgers (B)
  • lemon/garlic dip
  • carrots
  • cauliflower
  • broccoli
  • sf jelly and berries (1)
  • 100g vanilla quark (1)
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 1tsp camp coffee (0.5)
  • 1 kelloggs fibre plus bar (5.5)
So then that is my A+Bs used and 8 syns accounted for -but I need to pick up a few more along the way ....ooooh I might stick some peas and sweetcorn on dinner ;)
I really struggle to use my syns -so this week Im going to make a real effort with them.
Hope everyone has a good week...

Had a good look in my freezer and found a "Youngs Admiral Pie 340g"
Anyone know the syns of these please.
