And the fact that you haven't got to mess around having scan bran if you want porridge (wish I'd read this thread before I made my porridge this morning!!) lol

I love scan bran in my porridge I think it bulks it out so Im still going to have it

I'm just delighted we can have more cheese! Although measured my cereal for the first time this morning... 35g really isn't very much is it? :(

Edited my post as Ive just checked the sw website and both the coop and the asda pitta show as a hexb... I'll shut up until I get my new book!!

We are not getting our new books until this Saturday however our C went through a snap shot of some of the changes last saturday and she said that Asda pitta is no longer a Hexb, it will only be the co-op one that is a hexb from now on :wave_cry:
aw rubbish, I have no idea where there is a Co-op nearby :(

I am an online member and had a look on the site this morning and it doesn't seem to have been updates with the changes yet which is rather annoying

It doesn't have them on the pdfs yet, but if you click on Latest Healthy Extras they should be listed there (or at least they were a few minutes ago :D) HTH

Did anyone's consultant explain why the changes? Because the old measures definately work in my mind? Just interested in their reasoning. I'm gutted about the crunchy bran and sesame ryvitas!

Very exciting - I had 35g of porridge oats this morning :) Yum yum yum, surprisingly much better than 28g!

I've not made my own since I was a teenager, is it faffy to do?

Nope Becky - I just put the oats in a bowl, add sweetener and cold water (saves my milk allowance) and ping it for a couple of minutes.

Doddle!! Just like oatsosimple but cheaper :)

Absolutely (as Jaylou) says it really is just like oatsosimple but a huge amount cheaper! Really really simple and then I bulk it out with frozen berries, banana or grated apple :)

Yeah. My C said that when slimming world went from ounces to grams (not that long ago apparently) all slimming world did was convert 1 ounce into grams without appreciating that with manual scales it would be very difficult to read 28g or 42g etc so people were overspending in the HE's.
They changed the plan to make it easier with manual scales and did all their research type stuff that they do to determine whether rounding up would affect the plan, where it would they lowered the amount and where it didn't they rounded up as much as possible.
Dunno if that helps at all?

Hmmm, very interesting! I just pick up oat so simple as its just quick and easy to tear open the sachet however it's just a easy to get the scales out... Once I've finished my sachets I'll give this a whirl

Thanks for the advice, I've always just dismissed porridge oats before
