Firstly, Good Morning to you all,

My name is Mark and I'm 28 years old.

The reason for my first post here is to seek a bit of advice and what I should expect based on my background.

I started the Cambridge Diet (Soul Source) Yesterday Morning (07/04) so I'm half way through my second day.

I'm 6'3" and 16 stone, I'm of quite a big build, so my weight probably doesn't sound like too big a deal, but in truth i'm about 2 stone overweight and a bit out of shape. I'm going on holiday to Alaska on June 24th and want to get to 14 stone by the time I go.

Does anybody have any suggestions how long to stay on SS for and whether i should go up a couple of stages before the Holiday, or just go straight from SS to eating again?? And also what sort of problems i might have?

I know I'm probably asking these Q's for the 1000th time, so i Aplogise in advance.

    Thanks for your time.

Hi Mark....welcome to the forum. I don't think you'll have a problem shifting 2 stones before 24 seem to lose weight a lot quicker then us gals....lucky rascles!! I would definitly work up the plans....I'd concentrate on SS just now...maybe til the end of May, see how you get on then you have three more weeks to decide what your next step is. Good luck and keep us posted as to how you are getting on.:)

    Welcome Mark!
I'm just starting too - on day 3 of Sole Source and I'm loving it!
I plan on coming off SS a few weeks before I go away to slowly introduce food again so I don't go from SS to naughty treats on hols as I believe this is when you could put weight back on again! This isn't from expereince .. just being obsessed with this site and reading everyone's blogs! :)
    Good luck with SS'in! x

welcome to mini's mark. You will have no problem shifting 2stone you might even lose that in your 1st month as men tend to loose quicker than us girls.Maybe then try work up the plans before you go on holis im sure your cdc will be able to help with that aswell.

    best of luck

Hey, thanks everyone, it's reassuring to hear that you all think it's more than do-able. I'm sorry to hear you girls find it harder to lose than men, that's not fair at all.

I'll be sure to let you know how i get on....That's if i don't drown in the water i'm drinking.

    Take care

Welcome to Minimins Mark. It's great to have another male 'CD-er' on here :)

As everyone else has said, stick to the plan, keep drinking all that water and you're bound to shift at least 2 stone by the time you go to Alaska (lucky devil!)

Good luck and keep posting! :D
