New me slimmer and happier

Here goes decided I do need to do a diary, and write down what I am feeling and how I am doing, on Wednesday 1st feb will be week 4 so been here for 3+ weeks.
My starting weight was 18stone 8lb and my weight today is 17 stone 5lb so instead of being negative about a 2lb loss this week need to look at the bigger picture :)
I know I will be here for the long haul so need to keep focused, except for the tomato and basil soup (which is revolting) everything else is ok so ordered next months bumper pack by selecting my favourites and at £30 difference it certainly is worth it.
I have rheumatoid arthritis so have to have a meal so that the meds work but I am losing weight so happy with that.
Ketosis not sure I understand this whether I will go into it because of the meal or not!! Need to look at that.

So here goes

Hi Gill, you are doing brilliantly, with great losses so well done! You will stay in ketosis as long as you don't include any carbs in your meal. I'm only in my second week but have also decided it's well worth the extra £30 next month to swerve the vile tomato & basil!!! Think I'll stick with the veg soup, choc shake toffee & nut bars & try some porridge too. Good luck for your next weigh in, hope u get another good number :)

Well going to bed now, been a long day:) physio this afternoon was tiring. But they are letting me into the hydrotherapy pool for 3 weeks so that should help.

Well day 2 of restart, done really well, got a routine, which seems to be working

Wake up at 6.30am take my RA tablets and have a coffee

8.30am get up have 1/2 a bar and coffee and start drinking water

12.00pm other half of bar more water

3.00pm bouillon

6pm soup for dinner
7pm shake for pudding

Then to bed to watch telly
Take RA tablets

10.30 sleep

This is working for me. So hopefully I can stick to it.
I have been thinking why I am doing this diet and have decided
1) need to be able to look in the mirror and like myself.
2) need to lose weight to help the pressure on my joints
3) being here for a long time to watch my grandchildren grow up
4) get something back that's near to the person my husband married 30 years ago!!
5) enjoy life and all it's pleasures.

Well I think that's it for today going to watch Holby City

I wondered where you had gone, I will be on day 1 again tomorrow, although I broke the diet I decided to do it, rather than giving into it, to me it makes sense, I have a routine and I'm fine as long as it all goes to plan. Good luck Gill.

Hi had a good day today, had the porridge for breakfast and bar for lunch, going to have soup for dinner, drank 5 pints of water already so on track for three litres

Had a compliment from a neighbour this morning so that started the day on a good note!!!

Been cleaning windows etc today which is a task and a half with ra so been a positive day.

Hi all, got a worrying day today, I have had a lump in my throat since nov, and have to go to hosp today to see a specialist :( very worried hope it's nothing serious :( can't handle anything else. Been good this morning had half a cereal bar and water, no coffee so I can have a coffee at the hospital !!

Diet wise you're doing so well! I love your list of reasons, I think the reasons behind the diet are what make all the difference. I totally sympathise with you as well with the RA:( I don't have that myself but have a different condition which means I am in constant pain, so very well done for finding the motivation to lose weigh xxx

Hi back from the hospital, thankyou for all your messages, everything ok. :) had my nose cauterised because that was some of the problem,blood clots in throat! with constant nose bleeds :( .
so now got to get on and drink water all behind today!! only Had 1/2 pint:( so lots to catch up. Just had my half bar for lunch and a slice of ham as got funny taste in my mouth.
Had the other half for breakfast, so, soup orang shake for dinner and pudding. Let the day get going.

Oh I am so so pleased everything is ok! what a relief:hug99: sorry you had to have that done though, not nice at all:(

so can I just say how fab you are for staying on plan through all of that:clap: I think that would have driven the most determined of us off to seek comfort in food, so well done you!:D
