Onion Powder?

Been looking for this in the supermarkets here in Ireland for ages, don't seem to be able to find it. Does anyone know where it's stocked or an alternative to it? Want to make the doner kebab recipe, but this is missing from my ingredients - I imagine it's important for flavour!

Ethnic food shops would sell it. I get mone from the ethnic food aisle of Tesco, but I don't know if you have that there. Sorry!

Ah thank you sweetie! I'll have a look in the ethnic food aisle and see what I come up with!
I'm such a cooking virgin - apart from microwaving - so thought I must be doing something pretty silly not to see it!

I have seen it in Tesco's and Sainsbury's with the other herbs and spices.

If you can't fin it in the supermarket try a local Asian grocers store, it'll be loads cheaper there anyway. If you still cant find it just order it off the internet. Theres loads of sellers on ebay do this kind of thing, but my usual first port of call is Indian Food, Indian Spices, Indian Grocery, Curry Ingredients and Recipes

I got mine from Asda - they called it onion granules I think - its with the herbs and spices.x

Course you could buy dried onions and grind them with a pestle and mortar.....Body Magic!
