what are the reasons we are not allowed orange squash and citric type drinks?
i used to drink orange squash (very diluted) on atkins and it never took me out of ketosis. i have had enough of drinking plain water all the time and wondered as i know it wont take me out of ketosis would it be ok to add a splash of squash or will it slow down my weight loss even in ketosis?

I have been using sugar free orange squash containing citric acid and I don't think it has effected me. Maybe just try using in to a minimum and I don't think it should cause harm.

Not being in ketosis won't slow down your weight loss. If you know that juice doesn't affect you then I guess there's no harm in it x

..............however, there are some fruit juices that are ok anyway as they use malic acid and not citric acid, I use these ones just to be on the safe side. xx

have had an email back from exante saying this

For some clients citric acid will bring them out of ketosis but for others
having a small amount is fine and will not affect Ketosis.
