Attack Pepper Steak Sauce Disaster!!!

#1
Morning all! Thought i'd give the pepper sauce a whirl last night to have with my sirloin steak...what a disaster! I followed the recipie but instead of using vegetable oil i used olive oil, would this have casuse the yoghurt to separate and go all wierd? It resembles very runy cottage cheese...terrible! :( Any tips much appreciated! x

Hello :)
Sorry to hear that you had a disaster with the sauce you tried. I have to admit that it took ages for me to find anything that I was happy with and enjoyed on this diet.
Take a look at my recipe thread (recipes I love) as I've developed a range of sauces and meals that im happy with. This thread was born out of a similar situation to yours... I hated every recipe I tried!!!
Quite a few other dukaners have had a go at them and they are incredibly complimentary.
Take a look and let me know if they are up your street...
Good luck with the weight loss,
Mahayla xxx

Just be aware that most of the recipes I've developed require some of your tolerated items so best for use during cruise :)

Hello Ladymahayla!
Thanks for your lovely reply! :) I will def take a look at some of recipies and give them a try, i appreciate all the advice and help I can get! I must admit i'm not being extremely rigid on this diet as i would crack otherwise! I've lost 7lb since Monday and I have had a tiny amount of brown sauce on scrambled eggs and drank some no added sugar squash. I know you're not meant to have these things but i'm not going over the top with the diet. I'm sticking to it 99% but having a few small things added in. Obvioulsy i will monitor my weight and if it stalls I will be 100% good 100% of the time! Thanks again for your help! x

Cara,

yoghurt always tends to split and curdle when heated, same goes for quark or fromage frais. allow the dish to cool a bit before stirring it in, that helps reduce the effect. But you will not have 'creamy' sauce.
