Is that for the smash pastry pie? or someone else?

You can thicken stews etc with boiled and then blended onion, thats what i always do.
It adds flavour and thickens with just SF.
You can make the Syn free gravy with chicken/vegetable stock cubes (2), chopped and frylighted onion and a dash of balsamic vinigar, just simmer for an hour or so and then blend. You can add herbs ad things to this and add more ingrediants etc and it would work for the inside of a pie as thickened stew would

Chicken cacciatore

Fry Light
Salt and Ground Black Pepper
4 Skinless Chicken Breasts
12 Bacon Rashes, all visible fat removed and roughly chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 sticks of celery, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
4fl oz chicken stock
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
2 bay leaves (i replaced with mixed herbs)
handful of basil leaves(optional)

Fry seasoned chicken until golden, transfer to large pan.
Spray frying pan add the bacon and fry for 2 mins. Stir in garlic, onion, celery and carrot cook for 6-8 mins or until the onion is tender.
Add the onion mixture to the chicken. Stir in the stock, tomatoes and bay leaves. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25-30 mins or until chicken cooked.
Serve garnished with basil.

I made 2 portions by using half the chicken/bacon/tinned toms but all of the other ingrediants for extra superfree power!
It was devine. And it didnt just taste of tinned tomatoes as i thought it would it was gorgeous.

Hello all

I just started SW just under 2 weeks ago and am really enjoying it so far. I've started reading through this thread this afternoon and even though I have only got to page 30 it has given me SO many ideas and recipes of gorgeous sounding things to try.

There are definitely some talented chefs on here! I want to employ you all to just organise all my meals for :p however I'm not quite rich enough so instead I'll have to make use of all the yummy recipes on here ;)

At the moment I have my first attempt at one of the recipes from this thread in the oven a SW Quiche which I am going to have for lunch tomorrow :D Fingers crossed it comes out ok!

I will be back to post a picture of my dinner this evening, nothing special only a SW Spahetti Bolognase but thought I'd get the ball rolling.

Am looking forward to reading through the other 90 pages. Am noting all these recipes down as I go along so am sure they will keep me busy for a while :)

Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far this thread is so helpful to not just newbies like me but seasoned members I'm sure.

Here's my latest creations.

Chilli with vegetable Rice
&
Minted Lamb with Garlic and Herb Cous Cous :)
