photo of tonight's burger, also titled "seriously? this is diet food?!"

and yes. I served it with a MASSIVE side salad. fruit for pudding in a bit.

that is:
1 Genius Wholeseed roll (can't eat normal wholemeal)
35g lactofree hard cheese yeah. lactose is a problem too)
burgers made from 500g >5% minced beef, 2xbeef oxo and a little drizzle of balsamic. divide and press into a ring to make sure they're round and melding together properly, then flatten a little. cooked on George Foreman Grill. make sure you don't cook them too long or they'll be like leather ;)

the only synnable part of the meal was the "special sauce", recipe in The Takeaway Secret by Kenny Mcgovern (NOT an SW book, but adapted recipe to make it SW friendly) this came to 1.5 syns for the amount I used ;)

Oh not to worry and lovely of you to come back to say, I worried I sounded like a pompous boot when I read yours, I must use more smiles. You are right it is hard to see what people are meaning.:bighug:

I agree re pineapple, I wouldn't syn but I believe as long as you rigidly stick to the main rules superfree as a third, dont go over syns and eat properly for most of 21 meals you eat in a week. The odd squashed or toasted whole fruit in a small amount will not put on weight. I know its good to adhere to all rules, the tom puree I totally was against for same rule, hardly can eat enough to make it food abuse. Used it at least four times a week, always have and lost and lost. :)
The cooked and dried fruit being a HexB now means they are viewed healthier than last month! Controversial I know ;);)

Wasn't offended by anything :) glad to see people agree with me that it's a silly rule that should really only apply if you're blending up massive amounts of fruit or something... I was, as hpsaucy said, just pointing it out incase new members might me confused.

I'm going to be trying it and not synning them :) thanks to Peter for all his yummy food porn :)

Cajun Chicken salad topped with poached egg & asparagus....that was for OH... I had without the egg

Like you guys, I don't syn if i'm making for e.g a milkshake with 2 bananas.. I could eat 3 bananas in a day and I wouldnt syn it then so why would i if im only eating 2?

It is a good rule I think because it does make people think about what they're eating and I do use it if i know i'm going to be drinking orange juice for example- I could drink gallons of the stuff.. so SW has to be responsible for its users. Think they would get in to big trouble if they didn't.

it's basically for people like my mum's friend who has had a stomach bypass, but still blends up marsbars so isn't losing any weight despite the major surgery and expense she put herself through.

Side Salads that we had last night to accompany our SW burgers.

Hubbys is on the left with just Heinz Salad Cream, mine is on the right with Briannas Blue Cheese Dressing and crumbled stilton........

Again Ginlin as with a lot of SW meals yours looks better than hubbys. Have not heard of Brianna's is it many syns? I adore blue cheese.

Thanks Jo* x

The Briannas dressings are divine, but heavy on the syns.
1 tbls Blue Cheese Dressing = 3 syns
1 tbls Caesar Dressing = 4 syns

Ooh now maybe will help me keep in target. Where can I buy? xx 1 tbsp for 3 syns great for me, I'm definitely a savoury girl and love to lift a salad out of the boring realms.

It used to only be stocked in Waitrose, but now Asda has also started selling it.

Sweet chilli philli chicken

Hey guys,

I made sweet chilli philli chicken with garlic and herb mini roasties and steamed carrots for dinner - it was amazing and if using A choice HE on extra easy it was completely free!

Recipe can be found on my blog :D

Looks great Kerry. I'm a food blogger and went to a cookalong with the winners of the Philly Heroes UK comp. Ed Baines showed us how to cook the dish you made, the leek risotto was cooked by a winner and one of the desserts. Its nice to add fresh herbs and a splash of wine to the parcel as well. You can see my philly chicken before it was cooked. Works with pork chops and with salmon too.
