Ooh how did they taste?

Finally remembered to take a picture of dinner before scoffing it all down (though I had taken a bite or two). Doesn't look like anything special but tasted lush - peri peri chicken with sweet potato and a cabbage, carrot, onion and apple mix :)

Like the idea of the cabbage/carot onion mix

Its basically just a coleslaw mix without the mayo haha, was very nice though!

Hi pastagirl

The food looks great, but how come its only three syns. Can you share the recipe

Cheers

Hi there.

The uncle bens Thai sweet chilli rice is 2 syns for whole pouch.

Recipe for sweet chilli chicken

3/4 chicken fillets sliced
2/3 peppers mixed or frozen (half bag)
2-3 tbsp Soy sauce
4 tbsp sweetner
1/3 cup water
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (3 syns)
Chilli flakes (10 twists) or fresh chilli if you prefer (2 or 3).

Brown chicken in the wok for a 4-5 minutes then add peppers and soy sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add chilli flakes, water, sweet chilli sauce and sweetner and cover on a low simmering heat for 15 mins or until cooked and well coated. Taste and add more sweetner if required.

Split into 3 or 4 and that's 1 syn each.

I normally make it with egg fried rice but this was left over from dinner so had for lunch with the uncle bens Thai sweet chilli pouch!

This is such a nice dinner for low syns. Enjoy x

Hey all, i'm posting this for those of you like myself that enjoy curries  (I miss the curry from my local chinese so much since starting SW!)

I've tried a few different recipes for curry sauce so far.. I'm not a fan of the tomato based indian style sauces, so I was happy when I found the recipe for this while browsing minimins earlier :p It's made with lots of cauliflower so it's adding superfree to the meal. I thought cauliflower was a strange ingredient for curry but after reading the good reviews I had to give it a try :D You can't even taste the cauliflower

I added onions, mushrooms and chicken.. Served with boiled rice and 150g McCain rustic oven chips... 1½ syns in total (on EE), free if you have no chips or make them SW style :)

First time posting a food picture on here and it is nothing spectacular!! My lunch today:
pasta.JPG
Pasta (gluten free) with peas and mackerel. Boiled the pasta, added the peas about halfway through that cooking, once done, drain and add 1 tin mackerel in tomato sauce and 2 teaspoons fat free creme fraiche & stir. Lots of peas!!

Spaghetti with broccoli and blue cheese sauce. Amazing and only a HexA on the sauce, otherwise free.
