Something about an incredibly fast heartbeat and the feel of my stomach,she was officially a retired midwife helping out at busy periods, so who knows

My husband always acts like he wouldnt mind missing the scan but he always manages to get the time off work somehow x
 
fnm - have a look at nursery play groups in your area. 3 different friends have their children in them and they cost about £3.50 for a 2 hour session (in the midlands). I think one friend has to do "helpers" sessions a term. ALso think they cant start til 2 but worth investigating.

mummyclark - i was told 11w 2d and 14w (am going at 11w 5d for mine) and its the Thurs before xmas. Am really worried too as had a miscarriage in Sept where the scan I had at 7w showed me to be 4w. Am terrified I will get to 12w scan to find baby is only about 8w. I had put on a few pounds but its kind of gone down despite all the cr@p i have ate.

I will definitely going to find out the sex when i get to 20w, i found out with my little girl too. My sis was the opposite, said there is nothing better that getting a surprise - but i think its double the excitement to be able to buy the little clothes in the colours

Also if you found out now, u would probs get cute summer clothes in new born size in the sales! lol
 
Scan was great, got a right little wriggler in there, dates were exactly what we worked out too :)

Hi guys.

Scan was a disaster in the fact couldn't get any measurements!
Baby wasnt playing ball! Laying face down which is prob why feels like he's trying to escape out my Ho ha.
But I have to go back on 3rd Jan to get better measurements!
I think I saw genitals of a girl tho..... X
 
O dear fnm well the main thing is you saw baby was well plus you get to go again which is always a bonus, girls genitals show as 3 lines, is that what you saw? X

Got back from my weigh in, lost the pound I put on last week.:)
 
Sounds like a girl, dunno what a boy would look Like but I know from my daughter they said you can tell coz there were three bright white lines all bout same length at the bum end, they were really clear so hard to mistake, did you not ask?

Well well see in 20 weeks time whether you really did sneak a peak at little ones gender, I'm guessing if you saw bum end you could guess as to whether there were signs of a little willy or not lol x
 
Well good news yesterday my partner had a job interview and got the job :) yey!!

I put on the pound I lost but at 37 weeks a total of 8lb is ok!!

I today sadly tho feel poo!! :( the pressure downstairs is so much I can't sit on my foof unless it's on my ball. Woke with back ache then had runs, which is great i suppose after mega constipation for 3 weeks now. But now my tummy hurts n my back. :( and when I walk I got what feels like his head moving lower and I get that discomfort in what i thinks my cervix so thinking he is engaging more (at 36 week appointmnt he was 4/5) and have the health visitor coming today for antenatal visit

It could be braxton hicks Leanne - I know you weren't sure if you'd had any. Mine felt just like period pains.

Congrats to sarac on your baby! And congrats to the girls who've had scans. Sorry can't remember what else I've read
 
I would say you sound like your in very early labour Leanne which could last a week, if you get really uncomfortable maybe call your midwife to check you over, maybe baby will be here before Christmas x
 
Thx Sarah :) just feel a bit naff today but all house is tidy and all chors are done! :)

Other half has another interview for tomorrow which is exciting!!!! :) things r looking up!!!

Here is a pic of babys socks!! I got them in blue black brown red and blue and they sooooo cute!! The blue and red ones will so match his red and blue star bibble!!

It may sound mean but I actually wanna be over due! Like when I had Jacob... The thought of giving birth in Xmas week scares me!! I have jacob and joshy n family to see :( blergh hope baby let's his brothers have their Xmas and then be their new year gift lol
