Pregnancy and Slimming World

Must admit I was in hospital Xmas eve to mas day when Mikey was due and then begged to go home on strict bed Rest and had him nye 2009 x
 
I'm due 2nd of jan eeeepppp

Jus got off phone to mom she said i sound slurred

Now this usualy happens when on the pill or due on so dunno whether to be concerned... I feel ok i don't feel an instinct to worry

Ooo not long left for you leeanne. It might also be the raspberry leaf tea that you mentioned before that you were taking because sometimes that can bring on strong braxton hicks. I have started raspberry leaf too but feel funny so i think i have caught a cold from my youngest daughter and not feeling funny due to the tea as i was absolutly fine with it in my last pregnancy.
I feel a so huge and uncomfotable now and havent had a decent nights sleep in a week and my indigestion is really bad especially when all i want to eat is clementines and they just make it mega worse :cry:
 
When I was in labour initially, it was just a tightening of my stomach at top and bottom of stomach.

At 4/5 engaged I have a feeling it means they can feel 4/5, I think as u progress its lower e.g 1/5 is nearest to the birth. Might be wrong but pretty sure.
 
Not drank amynof the yea for bout a week as I ran out so can't be that. Think I coming down with sumert. I can't stop drinking I'm so thirsty n not interested in good I just want loads of water today :( think tiredness is a factor too... I will justnplod on

Geordie lass i thi k your getting confused with palpable, 4/5 engaged means its almost fully in the pelvis, which is 1/5 palpable meaning one finger width of the babys head can be felt, so hes deep in there lol x
 
I think the key was a decent night sleep feel much better today!!

Don't feel yukky! No aches either so it's all good lol

I'm guessing labour will be like with my little boy, I don't kno it's happening till there is pain lol waters didn't go with my son either!! Jan baby plz not December lol

By clear outs, do you mean going to the loo? We don't do that routinely. It's been proven to be unnecessary and can make contractions hurt more. I always give an enema to a woman who's constipated tho, as it will get in the baby's way and slow it down. If you're worried about going to the loo while pushing, I've never known anyone not, even people who had enemas. It's usually a tiny amount, maybe size of your thumb and midwives think nothing of it and will get rid of it very quickly. Most women I've looked after don't even know it happened and they ask me afterwards. It pays not to get hung up about it, because if you do you won't push as well
 
Well this is my second child and never had
Most things in that pregnancy as I have this.

But been constipated for weeks but for the last 3 days had loose bowel movements some people I know spoke about a clear out, but with my son I hadn't gone toilet for a week and ended up in labour, though pushing was hard as I thought I would poo but had a forcep delivery in end :(

Just wondered if this is a clear out at all, don't get me wrong I'm so greatful for being able to finaly go to the toilet lol but I'm not doin n e thin different either just tired here n there mega thirsty and hungry a lot of the time.... I just hope baby doesn't show Xmas time!

I actually still feel naff :( after iffy tum this morning an feeling fine... I've wmbeen so tired n thirsty and then felt ok for like 10 mins and then my head felt weird and I have threw up :( blergh :(

Think I have a bug

I threw up a lot in early labor with first, hoping for you you can hold on for another couple of weeks x
 
I threw up with Jacob too but I was having pains... I have nothing so must be a bug!!

Mom said I'm selfish sayin I wanna be overdue and not have a Xmas baby :/ well I don't lol

I chose russells hall hospital to have my baby cuz it has midwife let unit and then consultant led care.

Afte the horrid experience with Jacob at Sandwell I got used to accepting russells hall as partner was resistant to let
Me birth at home.

Well turns out midwives are telling us all due to go russells hall to be prepared to go to another hospital as they are strugling to cope. They closed the ward today as they are at their capacity too many women giving birth....

Scared :,(

Oh no, try not to worry, view might be okay by time your little one comes along xx
 
don stress over it, if you ring and they say you need to go somewhere else just stay at home till you absolutely have to go in, youll be more comfortable at home any way

Hey the fact you delivered your baby through the right exit last time is really good news for this time. 2nd babies are usually a lot quicker and easier, pushing often only a few minutes. When units close, they open again ASAP as there are fines for closing. And there is no reason you can't have birth unit type care in a major hospital. It might not be as relaxed and nice a setting, but I've lugged mats/balls/fake candles etc into labour ward before and created my own mini birth suite. As long as you're straight forward, there's no reason you can't birth in hospital as you would in a birth unit, with minimal interference. A lot of my women birthed standing up, leaning on the hospital sink
