Recipie for chick pea and mushroom curry

Fry onions and garlic in fry light. Add spices, I used 1tsp cumin, 3/4 tsp ginger, 3/4 tsp tumuric, 0.5 tsp chilli poweder, 4tsp corriander. Stir and fry for about 3 minutes (I added a bit more frylight here). Add sliced mushrooms, stir and fry for a few more minutes until the mushroom start to cook. Add a tin of chopped tomates and stir bringing up the heat. Add about a tablespoon of tomato puree, can of chick peas and stir well. Return to the boil, adding water to get right amount of liquid, I used about 1/4 pint. Cover and cook for about 15 mins on a low heat. Voila :)

You can just use curry powder btw instead of the individual spices if you want.

I always like this better when it it has stood so I made it in the afternoon, we went to the pub and then I reheated using about another 1/4 pint of water (as the chickpeas had absorbed a bit of the liquid). Serve with rice and as it was a bit spicy we had a little creme fraiche on the side.

It made 2 big portions and I have a bit leftover which I will have for lunch today too. It would serve 3 comfortably and 4 with a side salad or if you add extra veg.

Gym on Monday - consultation went well and I now have a program with lots of cardio! Well it seems a lot to me.

Takes about an hour. Never worked so hard (well maybe the other week at step lol but I am not doing that again just yet)!

Hiya, no gym today, having a day off! I bought some acai berry capsules yesterday to see if they add anything. I am not expecting miracles but if they do help with metabolism, sleep, energy and not feeling so hungry as well as being generally good for you they can't hurt! Also bought some Aloe colon cleanse tablets mainly as I have been more constipated than normal (I often am) since starting this diet and I thought since you can take them daily, they would be more gentle than actual laxatives (although I guess they work similarly)! Will let you know how it goes (sorry if TMI) :)

Oh and I weighed in yesterday and was 13st 1lb (which would be a 1lb gain) but today I was back to 13st after going to the loo this morning! I will count it as having STS.

Not surprised no loss as was not very good at the weekend although if I went to the loo regularly that might help too lol!

Have just amended my statistics to reflect what I have lost already.

I started my diet 28/04/11 and lost about a stone by November time. Then a few pounds back over xmas and re started properly on 23/03/11 at a start weight of 13st 5lb. Since then, I have lost 5lb but since I started I have lost a total of 16lb and I wanted my statistics to show it. Was chatting to hubby earlier and he pointed out, how much I have lost so far :)

Onward and downward. My current goal is 12 stones but I think I would like to get closer to 11 stones. I will see how I feel at 12. I want to be a healthy BMI and in the healthy weight range.
