Hi guys,
i have done CD before and have since been on weight watchers but im now looking at starting CD again as i go away in 5 weeks and i am struggling to keep on track with ww.
The only thing is, im re starting tomorrow but i am going out for my birthday saturday night which has been planned for a month or so, just want some advice on the best thing to eat before i go to line my stomach before i drink.

Hi pinkmantha, i slipped up last weekend as i had to go out for a meal.
All i had was a breast of chicken with bacon on it, its the same as doing the atkins. As long as you stay away from the carbs you should be fine!
My cambridge councilor told me alcohol is worse than food and puts on the weight faster. I only gained 1lb so wasnt too bothered.

cheers hun, i know i shouldnt be drinking at all but i have had this planned for a month but dont want to wait and start on monday as im wasting 2 days and will just be stuffing my face with easter eggs and other bad stuff lol x

At the end of the day you need to enjoy your birthday so go for it!
It's really hard getting back on it after the alcohol but as long as your committed enough.
I've found it difficult getting back on want to be skinny for my wedding 17th September and especially the honeymoon!

I think it will just prolong you getting into ketosis... which normally happens at day 4 so if you are on the shakes from now until then, you would just be getting into ketosis, but if you need and drink on Saturday then you will delay the transition - also please read the sticky about alcohol and ketosis - NOT a good mix !
