Hi, I'm new to the forum, but have been trying to loose weight through a better diet for a few years. I've found a big improvement to my health for changing my diet and have lost weight, it's just been very slow. I started off at 11st 4lbs and am currently 9st 3lbs. I would like to loose another stone I think, but it depends more on how my clothes look on than what I weigh.
I'll try to post my food for each day, I'm trying to stick to around 1200 cals, but I'm not counting them religiously.
 
Thurs 3rd Feb

Breakfast -Half a pink grapefruit and two oatibix with skimmed milk.

Lunch -Tomato and basil soup with one slice of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -One clementine.

Dinner -Slow-cooked chilli with rice and sour cream.
 
Fri 4th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and porridge made with skimmed milk.

Snack -A banana.

Lunch -Tuna and cucumber sandwich.

Dinner -Leftover chilli with a jacket potato and soured cream.


Lost 1lb this week!:)
 
Had a bad weekend, had lunch out on Saturday and had lots of chocolate cravings. Nevermind, hoping to do better today.

Sat 5th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and two oatibix with skimmed milk.

Lunch -Thai Prawn curry with rice and naan.

Dinner -Spiced chicken skewers with olive and lemon couscous.
Dark chocolate marzipan bar and a WW mini ice cream stick.

Sun 6th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and Porridge made with skimmed milk.

Lunch -Red pepper and lentil soup with two slices of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -Choc chip tracker bar and a Highlights hot chocolate.

Dinner -Chicken and chickpea pilau. A galaxy ripple bar.

 
Mon 7th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and two oatibix with skimmed milk.

Lunch -Red pepper and lentil soup with two slices of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -Shapers chocolate mint nougat bar.

Dinner -Smoked salmon and mushroom tagliatelle.

Went to the cinema this afternoon and had five mini creme eggs, which isn't great, but it could have been worse!

Tues 8th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and porridge made with skimmed milk.

Lunch -Tomato and basil soup with two slices of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -Five mini creme eggs.

Dinner -Wild salmon wrapped in parma ham with puy lentils, spinach and creme fraiche.
 
^Hi, yeah saw The King's Speech, I can now see why it's up for so many awards. This time of year is a nightmare with all the easter choc everywhere! But I can't resist the odd creme egg!

Wed 9th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and two oatibix with skimmed milk.

Snack -Boots shapers fruit salad.

Lunch -Tomato and basil soup with one slice of wholemeal granary bread.

Dinner -Prawn and pea linguine.
 
Going to own up to having three pieces of a small toblerone bar last night! But it gests worse, ate the rest of it today, feel really guilty!

Thur 10th Feb

Breakfast -A kiwi, a clementine and special K with skimmed milk.

Lunch -New year, new you soup with two slices of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -Options mint hot chocolate and the rest of that toblerone!

Dinner -Homemade sweet and sour chicken with rice noodles.
 
Fri 11th Feb

Breakfast -Two clementines and Hot Oat Krumbly Fruit with skimmed milk.

Lunch -New year, new you soup with two slices of wholemeal granary bread.

Snack -Pineapple

Dinner -Spagetti and meatballs. WW mini ice cream stick.

Not lost any weight this week, but it's my own fault, can't kick my need for chocolate!
 
Had more to eat today, but I have had a busier day than usual.

Sat 12th Feb

Breakfast -Half a grapefruit and porridge made with skimmed milk.

Snack -Half a slice of toast with marmite and half a scrambled egg.

Lunch -Jacket potato and baked beans.

Snack -A kiwi and a clementine.

Dinner -Chicken and leek stew with parsley dumplings and carrots and green beans.

I feel in need of some chocolate a bit later!
 
Need to get back to writing my diary, had a few bad days since having people over for a three course dinner. Been eating up the leftovers! Hate to see anything go to waste.

Thu 17th Feb

Breakfast -Natural yogurt with blueberries and muesli

Lunch -Vegtable soup and a slice of bread

Snack -Pineapple

Dinner -Chicken in a cider sauce with mustard mash and carrots and peas

Thanks. Yes I do, to save money and like I said before, I hate waste. I can't stand throwing out food, so I plan my weekly shop really carefully.
 
Fri 18th Feb

B -Natural yougurt with blueberries and muesli.

L -Vegtable soup and a slice of bread.

S -Banana.

D -Cauliflower and mixed bean cobbler. Chocolate and marzipan bar.

Wow rooie! I think you need to be my nutritionist! If you don't mind me asking, how much does this cost you each week? Does it take you a lot of time to prepare?

Hi, thanks. Well I spend between about £40-£70 a week, but that does include household and pet stuff and that is for two people. I also shop online, see what is on offer and plan my meals around that. Sometimes it does take time to prepare, but luckily I love cooking! If you would like any of the recipes just let me know!

D -Spagetti puttanesca. Chocolate and marzipan bar.

My weight loss has slowed down, I need to cut down my chocolate intake! I weighed in yesterday, 9st 1 3/4 lbs.
