There is a great recipe in Rosemary Conley's cookbook for Cottage Pie which is

    Extra Lean Mince
    Onions
    Carrots
    2 tbsp of Plain Flour
    300ml of Veg Stock
    tbsp of Tomato Puree

    Potatoes and Leeks for topping

The recipe I have makes 4 portions

Would I be right in thinking that I only have to take into account the flour, veg stock and puree for syns, and the rest is free on Extra Easy??

    Thanks
    Lisa

So if I leave out the flour and just take account of the veg stock which is 0.5 as I only use 250ml and then the tomato puree is 0.5 as I only use 1 tablespoon. So thats only 1 syn in the whole receipe.

    Is that right?

Stock is free so no need to syn that. It looks like the flour is only for thickening so you could use some powdered mash instead as this works a treat. Then you only have the tomato puree to syn.

Wooo Hooo, so effectively it could only be 0.5 Syns for the whole 4 portions, so split into 4 its practically Syn Free, Oooo i'm liking that :)

    Thanks

:D Yep, negligible syns so I would call it syn free.
