Well after an 8 month absence I am back to lose the weight I gained whilst I was pregnant with my baby boy who is 29 days old today! I am wanting to lose a stone and a half to get down to the weight which I was this time last year so here goes......

Green Day - Monday 2nd January 2012

Breakfast - 42g Weetabix Crunchy Bran (HEB) with 200ml SS milk (part HEA), Cup of tea with sweetener and drop of milk

Snack: Apple, Banana, 2 satsumas

Lunch: Batchelors Pasta n Sauce Mild Cheese & Broccoli (0.5 syn), 2 Quorn Burgers (1 syn) and 1tbsp Hot Sweet chilli sauce (1.5 syns) - 3 syns

Tea - Quorn Shepherds Pie (Quorn Mince, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, broccoli, sweetcorn, garlic, leeks, potatoes) and 42g Low Low Cheese on top (HEA)

I had a huge chocolate craving today (as did Hubby strangely enough!) so I treated myself with my syns so I didn't go off the rails on only my second day ;)

My little man is a month old today!!!

We had a lovely day just the two of us as our little lady was at nursery and Hubby at work, we had lots of cuddles this morning and then went to the Dr's to try and sort out his silent reflux which he has had for a few weeks, the GP gave us a new medication to try so hopefully this will work.

I've had a bit of a down in the dumps day today, we lost an amazing close family member on Christmas Eve and I think that, combined with sleep deprivation and hormones is making me a bit down. I'm sure I will come out of it soon enough.

Anyway, I've had a pretty good day, food wise. I need to ensure that I am eating at regular intervals though as I had breakfast at 9am and then didn't have lunch until 3pm so I need to ensure that I am eating more often.

Tea - Spicy "strozapretti pasta" - Chilli penne pasta, spring onions, Quorn Pieces, 2 tbsp Spicy Pesto (5 syns), fat free natural yoghurt and 42g mozzarella ontop (HEA)

Ok so I've not posted for a few days, and I have forgotten what I have eaten too! All I know is that I clocked up the syns with 3 glasses of Rosé wine on Friday night when I went out with my Dad and my Hubby took me out for an early birthday meal last night and we had halloumi and a fish platter with rice and chips. I think it's safe to say I used all of my syns for the week up so I am starting again today.

I have a difficult week ahead, it is my birthday on Tuesday and it is my Stepmum's funeral on Thursday, I am so down in the dumps at the moment with everything that is going on. Plus to make it worse both of my children have chicken pox so we're in quarantine from everyone this week :mad:

Hiya,

Yesterday was my birthday and I was planning on staying on plan but my sister and hubby had other ideas!! She made me a birthday breakfast of Cheerios (eek) and Toast with Vegemite (not so bad) but then hubby came home with Asda stuffed crust pizza and did McCains Oven Chips with it along with a large glass of rosé, eek!

Today I have got back on track although I don't know how I am going to get on tomorrow as it's my Stepmum's funeral. I am planning on not drinking but I will see what my Dad wants me to do.

Hi Sara what are the S&B curry sauce cubes? Where do you get them from? 5 syns is not bad at all for a meal (well i don't think so!) When's your weigh in? :)

Hi Holly,

They are cubes of curry sauce, you get 12 in a box and we used 2, you mix each cube with 100ml of water and then mix in with Quorn Pieces, mushrooms, onions etc, it was quite a dry curry but really tasty! We got them from an Oriental Supermarket near to our house xx
 
I really don't think I am going to lose tomorrow, I have had my birthday and the funeral on Thursday, and on neither of the days did I really stick to plan. Ahh well, I have meals planned for this week and am determined to be good!

I WI today on my official day and I've lost 2.5lb!! :D:D:D I am so happy, especially since I didn't have an amazing week last week.

This week I am going to be 100%, it's all about preparation!!
 
Ok so I have had a nightmare of a day with my 3 year old today, took her out to our town to post some letters and get some fresh air and she decided to have the mother of all tantrums and was punching, kicking and biting me! :mad: I was SOOO angry but kept my calm, grabbed her hand and literally dragged her home with one hand whilst pushing the baby in his pram with the other. She ended up falling asleep on one of my shoulders whilst the baby was asleep on the other and I was pinned to the sofa haha!!

She is being a nightmare with food too at the moment, she barely touched her breakfast, barely touched the leek and potato soup I made for lunch and is now battling not to eat her tea, it's wearing me out.

Anyway enough moaning from me, here's my food diary for today:

I've had quite a synful tea tonight but we have 2 packets of Halloumi in the fridge which needed using up so we had a fake Nando's!. We're going to have to start using up everything in our freezer over the next week or so as we should be moving house next Friday so stay tuned for some random meals coming up!!

My daughter has eaten better today, she had a full bowl of Honey ReadyBrek for breakfast, insisted on chips and egg for lunch and she ate beans on toast for tea (again - what she asked for). I joined her in having chips and egg for lunch, it was quick and easy and it's been ages since I've had boiled eggs!
