Sin free snacks?

Going to adapt to sw & make this carrot dip to eat with veg sticks or potato wedges.
Not tried it yet, but like the idea of it.

  • 8 carrots, peeled and cut into 2cm chunks
  • 100g butter (swop for fry light)
  • 1tsp ground coriander
  • 1 heaped tsp cumin seeds
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 2-3tbsp double cream (swop for quark)
  • Sea salt and black pepper

  1. Boil the carrots in salted water for 20 mins until soft.
  2. Fry in frylight the cinnamon, cumin seeds and coriander for approx 1 min.
  3. Puree the carrots with the spice mixture. When nearly smooth add the quark. Adjust seasoning and puree until smooth.
If you don't have a food processor, just mash the carrots.

There are loads of things you can have.

- Slices of lean Ham rolled up with Pease Pudding in the middle
- MugShots (The 1% fat variety are free)
- Fat Free Supernoodles
- Chunks of lean Chicken/Meat
- Tinned Tuna (I eat it out of the can with lots of salt & vinegar)
- Homemade Hummus (chickpeas blended with garlic)
- Soup/Broth (make up a batch of free homemade soup to have handy whenever you're feeling peckish)

Etc, etc xx
