Size 14-16 model "too large to model Plus Size lines"

#3
I've got more fat under my chin than she has on her tummy! That doesn't mean I'm proud of my chin fat, but I think she looks gorgeous and I'll bet you a pound that most men wouldn't even notice that little bit of tum. We are all just so hard on ourselves. x

She is beautiful! She is a brave person to put her picture out to some of the horrible people in the world. Look at those comments. Just plain sad. I would love to have her size!

the conversion of a US 12-14 is a UK 14-16 not 10-12. Still it is shameful she is clearly very confident in her body and very healthy its a shame the fashion world can't recognise that

There has been quite a comotion over this picture. On twitter, I was linked into a discussion on the subject, and there was this person who said some real horrible things about her. Some really bad things! It turns out that the person making the comments was a transexual, and some of the comments went along the lines of "she wishes she could look like me" and "I am more of a woman than she is. She is a beast!" How friendly!

She's slim, so it's ridiculous - the only thing that makes her look perhaps bigger than she is is her stomach- but that's just lack of muscle tone in her core muscles, i've got the same problem. If she toned those up, she'd have an incredible figure!

Quote:One wouldn't have thought this would be news. As Miller says, "pretty much every picture in a magazine or ad is airbrushed . . . I don't think the public understands how much smoke and mirrors are involved in making women look like that."

The airbrushed images are not realistic, you'd think young, educated women would realise this. Even the models in airbrushed pics wanna look like that! How can you compete with something that doesn't exist?

Oh wow - that 20 year old girl is stunning! What kind of world do we live in? Im just thinking about Evans models, they are plus size but still much tinier than the size 30-32 clothes they model?!
