Red Day Slimming World Monte Cristo Sandwich

Hello,

I've been doing slimming world for about 8 weeks now and have lost 1 stone so far. I'm sandwich crazy so i'm always looking for SW friendly sandwich recipes.
I've adapted the Monte Cristo Sandwich because its one of my favorites!

It should be free on a Red Day if you use 1 x H.E A and 1 x H.E B. Or if you have Jam or Mayo on the side then they add a Syn value.

Ingredients
1 Egg
1 dash skimmed milk (optional)
2 slices wholemeal bread (1 x Healthy Extra B or 3 syns per slice)
2-3 slices Ham (or turkey)
2 Dairylea Light Cheese Slices (1 x Healthy Extra A or 2.5 Syns each)
1 tsp Jam (0.5 syns) or 1 tbsp Light Mayo (2 syns)

Method
Place one cheese slice on each slice of bread with Ham on top of cheese (I try to get the cheese as close to the edges of the bread as possible (tearing it up if required) so the opposite slices will melt in to each other when fried and help glue the sandwich together).
Lightly press the sandwich together.
Beat 1 egg with a dash of milk and pour on a plate.
Dip the sandwich in the egg batter so both sides are covered.
Gently fry, in a frying pan coated with fry light, on both sides making sure the egg is cooked through.
Serve with Jam or Mayo for dipping.

Not the most complicated of recipes but its delicious as a weekend lunch time treat!
 
This sounds lovely! Think I will give this a go. Have you got any other recipes I can try?? ;)
