Hi Valerie, thanks for your comments!
I've not eaten enough superfree over the last few days but will shop at the weekend so I can rectify this! I thought the one third free rule was only relevant on EE days? I don't really do them because I don't eat meat and it's easier to just syn any fish I have. I haven't done SW world for a long time though so I'm very rusty and they didn't have EE then. I was also v pleasantly surprised to see you can also have an extra HE compared with the last time I did it! :)

Hi
I am also new to both Slimming world and Minimins.
I had a look through your food diaries for ideas and they are very relevant to me as I am a vegetarian too.
Can I ask.....what is "Smash Pizza"??
Did you ever find out any more on the Foo Yung? That is my dish of choice at the Chinese.
Good Luck with the Diet. x :D

Something I searched for and found on here. (minimins is so useful)!!!
I have the original and I think (tho not 100%) that the flavored ones might have a syn content.
If I find out I'll let u know but best to do a search on here. (on my phone at mo so not as easy to flit back and too! X

Cheers,

I can't get the hang of searching using my app. It just doesn't seem to work - or maybe it's the user lol

My food this week has been awful!!! Have been on the plan for 5 weeks almost but only just started typing diaries on here instead of writing them in a note book!!
Slimming world smash pizza is something else I found on minimins. There's a thread on it if u do a search with all kinds of adaptations but basically you make up a bit of smash into a dough rather than mash consistency then press it flat onto a baking tray with ur hands. U need to make it really thin or it tastes too much like a potato cake with stuff on top! Bake it for 5-10 mins in oven then turn it over and put it back in. When it's gone crispy ish u take it out and let it cool ( if u can)! Spread Tom puree on and top with HE cheese and any free food topping you like. I did one with 42g of feta that was amazing!!!
Goes a long way to meeting a pizza craving!!!

Foo young is still a mystery to me! But keep thinking it surely can't bethat high!!! I was looking in the container at the sauce that was left and it didn't even look oily, just a bit watery... Wish someone would enlighten me!! Still, sure it's better than most Indians and all pizzas, burgers etc!

Just had a quick look and in pretty sure that it's only the original thy can be used as a HEB. Supposed to have a scan bran with it as well but I never have. X

Oh that's ok then. Thanks.
I def need more fruit and veg in my diet though!! And my dinners could be much healthier! Will aim to make a big effort next week! X

B - Oats So Simple HEB Milk HEA
Snack - Salt and Vinager Snack a Jacks (4.5 syns)
L - Low fat super noodles
D - Jacket potato, cheese HEA & HEB!, Beans, 85g Tuna (4.5 syns), Extra Light Mayonaise (0.5 syns), Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onion)
S - Melon

Total Syns - 9.5

Haven't eaten enough today as I've had a manic day at work!!! Felt STARVING by tea time! Think that's it for today though as I need to save some syns to put towards a curry tomorrow!

I'm also definately going to go shopping tomorrow as I'm missing lots of staples like fruit, fat free yoghurt, etc.

Weigh in tomorrow. Have been excellent and on plan since a small blip last saturday night (note to self - vodka reduces will power!) but it is my star week so not expecting miracles!

Thanks very much for the recipe, I will definitely give that a go....sad I know but I have been thinking about some of the things I am going to miss, so this sounds like it will quash the pizza craving :D
I think if I were to put my daily diary on here for all to see it would make me eat far better as I would be ashamed if it didn't look super healthy, but in real life it isn't always that easy.....I think your menus are fine, lets face it in an ideal world we could all eat more fruit and veg lol.
I agree re the foo yung, it really can't be that bad and think like, you the remaining juice looks watery and not like residual oil. I will continue trying to find out and be sure to let you know if I do.
Good luck with the weigh in. xx

Thank you Valerie, I lost 2lb! I'm VERY happy today!
Off shopping later and going to stock up on all the staples I need!

Starr I think I started posting my diary for the very same reason, I think it shames me into not going too far wrong. It has been a long time since I last stuck to a diet for 5 full weeks! I've had odd blips as I haven't really deprived myself of things if I've been socialising! But have stayed on plan pretty much throughout. Get a food diary on here so we can all have a nosy!!!

B - 2 slices 400g wholemeal bread HEB, 2 poached eggs, 2tsp clover (3 syns)
L - Half packet of Pasta & Sauce cheese & brocolli (0.5 syns) and made with sk milk HEA, garden peas, SW chips
Snack - 2 Alpen light bars (in microwave) HEB Strawberries, fat free yoghurt
D - Veg Korma (15 syns), Pilau Rice (2.5 syns)

Drinks - Vodka and diet coke (4 syns 4=16!)

Total Syns - 21 + 16
=37!

Ok, so I've resigned myself to the fact that I will be going over! But I'm thinking that if I work on 15 syns a day then over the course of a week, I still have at least enough left for 4 drinks... X
