Hello everyone (well, DQ and Loved Up... the only ones that read my diary! Hehe),
My second month's bumper pack arrived yesterday, so I am all ready to go on my next stone loss. Very exciting!
I loved that I could pick and choose the flavours I want rather than just gulp down the ones I am left with at the end of the month because I find them grim. Thank you Exante peeps!
Tried a porridge last night - it was nice to start with but I quickly went off it and found myself gagging on the second half - no idea why... ended up leaving a few spoonfuls because I just couldn't face any more of that aftertaste. Someone on the main board suggested I add some cinnamon, so I am definitely going to do that and see if it helps. I hadn't thought about added spices to thing - maybe cinnamon would also work in things like the chocolate and vanilla shakes?? Might have a few little experiment sessions!
At home things are good - my OH is starting to see the changes and is giving me lots of encouragement and compliments. He has admitted that he still thinks I am going to give up on this; he mentioned it last weekend when we were on the coast and I had the low carb dinner at the posh restaurant... he said he thought I was giving in and it was obviously the start of a slippery slope to giving up yet another diet- but I'll show him. Hehe.
I actually believe that making the 'adult' decision to have that meal made me stronger than if I had just avoided food altogether. When I did LL I lived alone and totally avoided food in all ways - it was a challenge to do the diet, of course it was, but not in the same way. I didn't have to "face the enemy" very often, so I didn't really manage it - if that makes sense.
By holding strong during my massive craving for fish and chips, and planning a meal and sticking to the guidelines, I feel so much more in control than I would have just burying my head in the sand (or my body in the bath, more appropriately).
So, I am feeling very proud of myself. I have been back on TS since Saturday night and have no interest in breaking again for a while. My mum is planning a Sunday lunch on the 29th, so I am considering a protein/veg meal then - but will see how I feel at the time. It will be 2 weeks since my previous meal, so that's quite a nice guide for me. Means I could possibly have a nice (legal) dinner for Valentine's day with my OH too... another 2 weeks down the line.
This morning I was 12st 8.5lbs, so I am a 1lb off being a stone lighter than I was when I started on 3rd December - which isn't bad seeing as I put on 8lbs over Christmas and NY. In 1 month of Exante packs (lapse excluded) I have lost a total of 20.75lbs... but some of those I lost twice, hehe
Hope I can do another stone by mid-February... then I will be at my first target and will have another couple of weeks before my holiday on 9 March to get closer to 11st
