standard clothing sizes

just thought id see what measurements your meant to be to be certain dress sizes, according to a chart on wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_standard_clothing_size#Women.27s_sizes )
my waist is a size 14-16 bust 14 and hips 10. does anyone else find that these just dont go with what they are?

It depends where you shop, I've got two pairs of jeans from M&S, one a 16 and the other 14, yet the 14s are very loose and the 16s are a decent fit. Sizes in places like River Island are cack because they make stuff for skinnies and think that putting lycra into everything makes them a decent big size. (I'm not bitter, honest!)

My shape is random.. I have small waist and huge hips, I have lost 5 inches off waist and between a 16 n 18 hips are def a size 18 and yop half a 14/16 except shirts coz boobs too big!

How odd tho and yh sandra shops dont help - Primark, have diff sizes in all clothes and the next (only shop I buy jeans from) can be fit lovely or be really tight on top and my fave monsoon - is just lush!!!!!!

Crap they should have a once size for all shops not give or take an inch here n there!!

I think there should be a sticky for abbreviations! I don't really use them apart from 'atm' 'tbh' and 'omg'!
