Start of Day 3 Of Attack and 4 llbs off already - !!!

I'm glad it's not just me then!!! I kind of really don't know what to do with myself!!! I'm stone cold sober and feel too lively to sit quietly and read and watch telly!!! I'm f booking and wondering how quick i can get this weight off!!! Not helping my mates keep texting to tell me what a fab night they are having!!! Tossers!!!

Facebook fiend here!!!! Add me?!

Right I'm proper fe ck ed off!!!
Now weighing in at 18 stone 3. That's more bloody weight on over night. My stupid fat pork product body is clearly refusing to let go of the weight. I did first cruise day yesterday and did kind of worry this would happen.
I am thinking I might be one of those girlies who are best not doing the "weigh every day" thing as it is demotivating when you don't lose every day.
Positive plan of action, I'm gonna cruise all week and then weigh in a weeks time. That will be exactly 2 weeks on Dukan so should be enough to see if it is the diet for me!
I feel great in myself. Am most certainly not craving foods. And this is coming from the girl who bought 7 pork pies the day before Christmas Eve to take to my Mum's buffet and ate every single one of them before they even got to the buffet!! I was so ashamed! And that was on top of other food. So I certainly have a carb issue. I can sit and eat a loaf of bread with butter and honey without breaking a sweat!! So to wake up and able to sit and quietly have a cuppa without frenziedly thinking of food is at least refreshing. I also have tons of energy! Going to do another really long dog walk today with my Mum. Now I've cut out the booze and can't socialise in the same way I'm feeling the pinch. Think I need a new fella! However is a vicious circle as I'm way too porky and my dating history is horrific! I do a bit of online dating but seem to be a "tosser magnet!"!!
Anyway today is a PP Day so going to go and make my gallette and try not to feel cross about weight gain:(

Morning Sarah

Your 'gain' is a scales blip, nothing more! Keep on, keepin' on missus and it will all come good :D

I met my husband through online dating! It does take some patience to sort through all the (your word) tossers, but it can be fun! :D

Have a great day!

Awwwwwww YWW! Don't worry, we've all been there and your right weighing every day can be really demotivating. Try going a whole week and see what happens. I'd recommend at least two or three and see if you get in the swing of it.

At least it would be breaking some bad habits like the binging? And after a few weeks you'll find its not so hard to go without booze at the weekend (been there myself! V hard to start!). I really appreciate no hangovers and getting up early instead of sleeping till twelve etc.

Don't worry there's nothing you've said here that most of us haven't done! I've certainly scoffed things that were bought for special occasions and had to buy them twice!

Morning as a compulsive weigher, the daily fluctuations really do your head in. If its not a pattern and you can weigh weekly it will be a much easier ride for you. My weight can fluctuate by up two 5lbs in a week and I dont have totm......as for a new fella I cant help had mine thirty years and cant get rid of him. Dukan will change your life the confidence you gain is great. good luck and pork pies are a thing of the past xxx

I know exactly what you mean about the Internet dating. It hasn't got me anywhere so far. People in work keep telling me I need to get out more but I realised the other day that none of my friends are single so finding someone to go out with isn't that easy.

Ho hum, my mr right will find his way to me soon, as will yours.

In the mean time, try not to worry about daily weight fluctuations, focus on weekly losses or if possible monthly losses. Have faith in the plan. It does work.x

thank you all!! you are all right. new plan is weekly weighing!
just walked 6 miles and did it in bloody wellies! my feet feel like they've been skinned!! Anyway good start for a fresh week!!
Drinking green tea with a dash of peppermint. i hope it's allowed. is quite refreshing!

Eeeeek YWW sound's horrid - foot soak! Yep herbal teas a-okay!

End of First week, wasn't going to weigh this morning but thought I would and then not weighing myself now for a full week!
weight fluctuating which annoying me
down one pound of the 2 i'd put on
am 18.2 this morning
really want to be in the 17's by next week.
cruisey woosey day today. off to make some yummy tomato and mushrooms and put them in a gallette with turkey rashers , nomnomnom
xx

I now know why my weight fluctuated and didn't drop! It's not the diet, it's not the milk its my bleeping TOTM!!!! In absolute agony today , yuk! i was on the depo injection til 5 months ago so didn't even realise it was totm time. It all makes sense now though!! I can go up half a stone quite happily every month on the scales as I retain water like a sponge!!
Anyway still sticking to the diet. PP day today. Lots of pain killers though which probably aren't good for me but gonna drinnk lots of water.
Enjoyed my cruise day yesterday, until i found out the sodding tinned tomatoes had sugar in them!!! Never mind though!
I have zero cravings for food. It is so strange. I feel totally in control and in no danger at the moment of a binge. This in itself is a blessing irrelevant of the weight loss. As a compulsive binge eater who pre-plans binges almost in an eating disorder fashion I'm loving being in control!
Whatever happens low carb is definitely the way forward for someone like me. Clearly sugar/wheat / and takeaways just bring on the urge to eat more.
Also strangely now i've done over a week of no alcohol I'm not missing it. I'm planning things at the weekend that don't involve boozing. walking etc!
off to the gym tonight with my cousin as got 3 day consecutive pass. Don't really feel up to it cos of totm, but gonna do a bit of gentle cardio and stretching!!!
happy meeeeee :)

yww, I eat tinned tomatoes????????????? not 100% sure but I thought they were classed as a tollerated hopefully someone will let us know xxx totm answers a lot of questions xxx your doing great stick with it

It's true that the feeling of being "in control" in ketosis really is wonderful. I'm so sorry for you ref those darned tinned tomatoes.

You asked about skimmed milk allowance. In attack, there is no limit on dairy, but in cruise it's advised not to exceed 250ml (1/4 litre) skimmed milk per day, of your total 1 litre dairy. In reality, some find 1 litre dairy far too much and I try to keep under 500ml in cruise. You might find black coffee becomes more appealing as time goes on to enable you to use your dairy allowance on something else... :)

For the diet coke question, I try not to go over 1 can a day as I fight with a sweet tooth off Dukan so figure I'll try to temper it while on Dukan. Also I'm not a huge fan of sweeteners, so...
Green tea is GOOD!

Keep posting your menus. At your current weight, you really can eat lots of pure protein so ENJOY.

If you wouldn't mind filling out your profile, we can all see your height, etc and follow your progress easier... Nice to meet you and hang in there! x

Hiya YWW, that really is odd, usually the culprit in tinned toms is salt not sugar. You won't be making that mistake again! It's a great feeling not to be bloated up with carbs, I love it. Read somewhere that carbs and sugar actually change some pathway in your brain (or something like that) and it makes you crave more of the same! Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for your advice and help! I've cut right back on the dairy now and just having it in tea . getting stuck into lots of green tea instead and also just one can of diet coke, caffeine free a day!! filled my details out now :)X

Right I've done one day less than 2 weeks on Dukan now.
I've lost 6 pounds.
Being honest with the amount of exercise I'm doing, the weight I'm at and the amount of sacrifices I'm making, I'm not hugely impressed. At 18 stone 6 I can normally drop half a stone in a week just at slimming world or weight watchers and get treats as well
Soooo I'm going over to the dark side!! Off to give slimming world another try.
HOWEVER - There are positive things which i've learned from my dukan.
I'm going to stick with not drinking, I feel better for it and am certainly not going to take my sw sins and use em for booze!
Oat bran Dukan gallette. I shall certainly still be having my gallette on sw.
Also I'll be sticking more to a red day as I seem to be a bit of a carb addict.
I just feel too restricted on dukan. I'm sick of pretending that the "tasty yoghurt dressing" i've made is really tasty.!
I certainly don't want to demotivate anyone however. This is a great diet. However I think that unless I'm getting huge losses each week, then I'd rather lose it with a bit more flexibility xx Sarah x
