I bought the book and spent most of yesterday reading it.

I understand the science etc... so I'm going to do my food shop on Sunday and start on Monday!

I have some deep addictions when it comes to sugar and refined carbs so breaking that will change my life!

I've written my meal plans for next week and am raring to go :)

Does anyone have any advice on picking up exercise at the same time as starting atkins? I was planning on going back to the gym on Monday too (haven't been for 2 months!)

Give it two weeks first - getting into ketosis can leave you weaker at first until your body is used to burning fat for energy.

Hiya good luck ! I go to zumba twice a week and netball once a week ! I hate the gym and get so bored x x zumba is fab it's more fun than a work out I highly recommend it x I started going the week before I started low carbing an I was fine x

Thanks Rosebug. I'm paying for the gym though so I should really get back to it, my fitness is fairly average so I'll try & if I can't keep it up then I'll ease off for a bit.

Shel, I tried zumba & hated it! I enjoy exercise but I don't really enjoy dancing lol!

How does Mondays meal plan look?

B: gluten free sausage, egg & 1 cup mushrooms
L: tuna mayo on 1 cup salad leaves
D: roast chicken stuffed with lemon & thyme & 1 cup brocolli
S: sugar free jelly & 2 tbsp double cream
