Sunday Weighers... or is it only me?

I don't know which day Blue Smartie weighs on, but I think we should keep her? Can we? Please? She is almost house trained and doesn't take up much room:gimi:

Well done Emma on your loss and no worries Lynn - I STS this week too. We are just preparing for a HUGE loss next week!

Fay - just feed them what you are eating and they can like it or lump it! I am all heart hehehe. Bet they wouldn't know the difference anyway as SW food is just regular food cooked in a healthy way :)

Okeydokey silly sausage, you can keep your smartie but if she makes a mess it's your responsibility to clean it up! :p

I'm zonked, I've been up half the night, m-i-l has stomach cancer and was rushed into the hospital during the night. My OH is up there with her now while I get the youngun up and out to school and then I'll take my father-in-law up to the hospital again. She was doing so well with the treatment, I'm so hoping this isn't a real setback. We'll find out later I suppose. Just need some positive vibes being sent to the southern hemisphere.

Going to do my best to stick to plan but it may be tricky, but I'm going to do my best because I need to get off to a good start again or I might lose motivation and it's too easy to make excuses. I'm sure (or at least I hope!) there will be some healthy options at the hospital, there should be!

Anyway, I better grab my breakfast and then pounce on my daughter to wake her up! Nothing like being woken up in the morning by a demented mum jumping on you! I like to vary the waking up method :rotflmao:

Hope everyone is doing well and being good!

Hi Ozzie!! Lovely to see you and Reggie back! So sorry to hear that your mum-in-law is in hospital. I hope they manage to sort her out and that she goes on OK.

Good luck with your further weight loss! I'm just aiming to STS now. My new job/training course has taken over my life and I have no time to prepare meals so I'm just trying to eat the SW way as much as possible - apart from on my weekly trips to London when I improve Pret a Manger's takings no end!!!

Sending love and hugs and good wishes to you and your mum-in-law,

Lots of love, Trace xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm so sorry to hear about your family Ozzie. I will be thinking of you.

Well done Emma (a loss is a loss) and well done Lynne for STS. Hopefully next week will be a better one for you.

Blue Smartie - you are welcome to stay. You make me laugh (as have Silly Sausage and Ozzie's comments earlier). Good luck for this week. Let us know what day you weigh and how you're getting on.

Fay - glad things are going well in the beginnning. Remember these feelings (and maybe write them down) because that will help keep you on track and focused as to why you are doing this.

Have a great week everyone.

I've had a sneaky weigh this morning... >_>

down another 2lb!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!

But shh! Its not weigh in day yet!

Hi all. Woke up feeling really crap today and ended up eating rubbish. Uch, didn't feel good at all. Oh well, I guess we all have days like this? Picked myself up, dusted myself off and gonna start again tomorrow.
Tis really nice to be able to come on here and see how other people are doing :)

Tomorrow is another day Lil'lou. Good luck and hope you find yourself in a better place then.

Silly sausage - well done on the drinking. I've not been so good this week so far, so hopefully you'll spur me on !!! P.S. Well done on your NSV the shrinking wrists/growing fingers :)

Thanks for all the kind wishes and thoughts which have winged their way southwards and arrived in time! M-i-L was discharged from emergency department this morning which is nice as it's her wedding anniversary today. Now we need to keep our fingers crossed that when she sees her specialist tomorrow that he'll give the OK for the next lot of chemo to go ahead on Friday :fingerscrossed:

I managed to stick to plan yesterday totally, only thing being that I perhaps didn't eat enough. Today has gone a bit wrong though as OH went to get himself something from the hospital cafe and brought me back some chips in gravy. They weren't even nice! Oh well, that will be all my syns used up for today, but as long as I'm good for the rest of the day, I should be fine!

For those who think it's always sunshine and bliss in Australia, it's been torrential rain all last night and all day so far today - I came home from the school run doing my impression of a drowned cat! On the plus side at least the rain is tepid warm, not freezing!

Anyway, hope we're all doing well as it's half-way into the week! I so want a loss! .... I fancy doing a happy dance on Sunday :D

Hi all,

Am loving the increase in activity on this thread - who'd have thought we'd have so many lovely Sunday Weighers! welcome all! Here's hoping for a good loss for everyone this week.

Well done Silly Sausage I am also trying to increase my water in take this week - does a skinny latte with gingerbread syrup count towards this? lol! Am addicted to Starbucks Gingerbread lattes at the moment and have been using the majority of my syns each day on one of these (at least I have it without the whipped cream and just one pump of syrup with skimmed milk) but definitely need to kick this habit.

lol Emma I can't help peeking through the week sometimes either! My husband is going to hide the scales from me till Sunday which should help.

Well Christmas is fast approaching and I know we don't like to talk about it but it won't be long!! What are everyone's plans? I am going to be realistic and try to maintain over the 2 week Christmas/New Year period. I feel like I have done so well so far (-44lbs in total) and would be happy to maintain what I have already lost and then kick it back up a notch and loose the remainder in the New Year. No real rush as long as it comes off!!

Moz - Well done on staying on plan during this stressful time. You would think hospitals would have healthy food options for visitors :sigh:

Hi Sarah - there was a good thread the other day about how we should not take "days off" over the holidays and should instead have flexi-syn days. It means we are still on plan in our heads and less likely to go mince-pie-crazy  Sounds like a great idea! I would be very happy to maintain.

Yay I'm in - thanks for the welcome :D

Great news about your MIL OzzieMoz :D and I hope she enjoys her anniversary tomoro

My official weigh in is on Tuesdays although I didnt make it this week as I was stuck in traffic coming back from uni and missed it :cry:so I am going to try and make another class this week.

I also decided to do give Red days a whirl for a week or so, as EE doesnt seem to be working anymore - the weight loss has practically stopped for the past 5 weeks and my motivation levels are slipping because of it :break_diet:

ps As I go to class, can I be excused from the nuddie weigh in that seems to be compulsary for the Sunday gang?

Hi Smartie!

Of course you can wear clothes at your public weigh in. We aint savages here. Not all of us are nuddie weighers. Mr Why_D wears a full James Bond tuxedo for his weigh in (I imagine).

Good luck with your new red day regime. Never tried it so can't offer any advice, but it's good you are shaking things up a bit to kick start your losses.

Yay I'm in - thanks for the welcome :D

And if we said no ??? I think it may be sensible to excuse you though !

Good luck with the red days Smartie. Fingers crossed it works.

I agree with you Sarah, the increased traffic on this thread is great !!! Hope you're having a good week too.

See you all Sunday (if not before !!!!)

Evening all :D

It's been a mad day here today - some good, some excellent with a smattering of not so great, but I think overall that averages out as a good day! :D My girly (8) got an award for overall best all-rounder in terms of behaviour, effort and kindness and whatnot at the end of year school awards today - I'm such a proud mum! She is lovely although I'm noticing slightly lunatic tendencies, I don't know where she gets that from ...... *shrugs*

Foodwise, I did have a couple of little mini-quiche at the food-bash after the award ceremony this morning, but I think they were syn-free on an award day ;) :p Apart from that misdemeanour, I've been as good as gold..... although on future occasions I reserve the right to have "gold" refer to fool's gold (iron pyrite) which of course means I might not have been so good. Hmmmm, is this a bad sign that I am planning mischief ahead? Today has been green, I'm really hoping that after being very good, that I'll see some sort of reward on the scale come Sunday. Fingers crossed!

With regards to Xmas, I was doing the plan and doing well on it this time last year, and I really just carried on right over the Xmas/New Year period. I was practically on plan the whole time, with just a few naughty things which might even have been within syns. I know it's easier for me, as I don't have the extended family/friends network here, so Xmas tends to be a bit quiet.

Anyway, I must shuffle off before I bore you all rigid with my wibblings! Like others have said, I'm really enjoying the thread these days. I'm sure it's going to help keep me on track and motivated! Marvellous stuff :D

My Christmas plans: focus and lose as much as I can right up till the holiday season, and then try to maintain till the new year. I heard a motivational podcast which talked about not taking weeks off from your goals, but being flexible. So enjoy a Christmas lunch, mince pies etc, but then try to eat a little less and exercise a little more on other days.

To be honest, my plan is to get down to 299 lbs this year, and then do my very best to maintain until the New Year.

We're going to be just fine! We have a great group here, so long as we do as well as we can and then all clock in NO MATTER WHAT on Sunday 2 January 2011 we can support each other.

well it's a bad week!

chair is broke and off to the workshop so stuck in bed and not able to cook this week. gonna put weight on for sure, oh well!

as for Christmas, it seems i'm cooking for 9! eeek, i enjoy cooking, but Christmas dinner for 9 is going to be a challenge... will SW some but the goose fat will prob be out, lol

So sorry to hear about your chair Why_d. What a nightmare for you

Honey - I am LOVIN' your progress and am just so proud of you. I love hearing your updates and am willing you on. Well done !

Ozzie - I love your daily posts. And am very proud of your daughter too !!!

Sarah - I totally agree with you about the traffic on this thread. It's brilliant and cheers me up to find out how everyone is getting on (good or bad).

Having a fairly good week myself. Out for dinner tonight but I think I did ok and assume that I used all my syns but that's ok as I had a sensible lunch. Have hit my 3 stone off at home but am waiting til my official weigh in on Sunday to make sure !!!

Good luck everyone. Hope you have a good week. And fingers crossed for you Why_d that the chair gets fixed soon and you can get some sensible food during the week. Big hugs.

See you Sunday (but will be watching the updates before then !).
