Surely I'm too old for this!

Over the last few months I've been getting really painful hard lumps under my skin. I went to the doctor today and he said that it is a form of acne, apparently it's caused by my hormones (I came off the pill a few months ago) and I just need to give my body time to readjust and get the hormone balance right. In the meantime he's given me some lotion (Zineryt - which the pharmacist also confirmed has a good success rate) to use.

Although I've suffered with the odd spot during my teenage years I've never really had anything as bad (or painful) as this. I'm going to be 23 next month, you would have thought I'd be too old to just start suffering from acne! <dramatic sigh>

oh dear sparkle i know how you feel, i used to get them hard little bumps very painful and not squeezable
zineryt worked for me and using clearasil facewash
be careful though it can make your face burn in the sun [the zineryt i mean]

As long as you don't start with the teenage mood swings as well - and have an untidy bedroom!!

Its not unusual to get it in your 30`s too......!
Hopefully the lotion you have been given will sort it out
