Susie's 2022 campaign

What a difference a snooze in the chair makes! Although not completely back to my usual self, just growled at the cats who are both driving me nuts about their food at the moment - ultimatum time, this or nothing! Silly to enter into a contest of wills with a cat, but I'm sick of throwing food out that they liked the week before but don't like today.

Lovely tea - cauli mash mmm, and a lovely friend sent me some Montezuma bars which are quite low carb, so i am going to enjoy a row of them every now and then.

Sorry you got to that point of pain again but DO NOT feel bad for taking painkillers to manage it. Glad the nurse is going to get you seen by a specialist and as bad as your week was impacted with withdrawal and now mega pain, at least the RLS has reared its ugly head more to prompt some action. (really trying to bright side here)

Onto happier things... 3lb loss. GO YOU!!! Freakin amazing :) :woohoo:

Hope you sleep tonight or at least have a restful night x

Thanks @GLL a lovely post xxx

It’s now 1am and I got 3 hours straight through so feeling great. No pain, no RLS - what a difference! I feel like the withdrawal has enabled the Tramadol to work as it should again - so maybe need time off it every few months? Will ask the doc today, he’s ringing after 9am.

Completely up to date with my case study work so time for a little read and then might try for some zzz xxx

MORNING! :D :D

Yes, guess who got a load of sleep and feels completely wonderful as a result? Me :D. Including my 6pm nap, I got nine hours' sleep in four different lots, out for the count the minute my head hit the pillow each time. Only had the slightest RLS for a short while around the time of the above post, but the Tram completely contained it otherwise. My new GP doesn't want to prescribe it long term but does want to sit down and go through all the options thoroughly with me, so am having my iron done next week - which is a good result, I really feel like we're getting somewhere now.

Food wise, i could eat my own arm right now lol - but luckily there's lots of leftovers in the fridge, so it's loaded cauli mash for brunch mmm.

My Therapulse arrived and is busy humming away on my knee - it feels lovely, very therapeutic, so will be no hardship to do three times a day :).

Complete change of subject - i have been scouring the internet for a small corner sofa bed - all the usual places, Amazon, eBay, Argos, Ikea, etc, but can't see one that I like, that's small enough (no longer than 180cm) and which doesn't cause my eyes to water when I look at the price. Any thoughts?

Glad you managed to get a more settled night :)

Hopefully the specialist can help you and it won't be too long to wait

I watch a ton of tinyhouse stuff ang the go-to is usually ikea for them. I know they aren't particularly cheap tho. FB marketplace or gumtree would be my next place to check.

Hurrah for sleep!! Lets try for 2 nights in a row? x

Morning all - what a difference a few more hours' sleep makes! The pulse thing and herbal tablets seem to be helping, and the new GP does seem interested in investigating it a bit more than the others - so am getting my iron done with other bloods next week, and we'll go from there.

I've been out for the first time in 2 weeks (!), to take library books back and it felt great to be out, even if it's pouring with rain. The car is running like a dream, and the coast was wild and windswept in this weather, lovely!

I also did a SWI and it's saying another 2lb down, feel like I'm eating loads but know my tum is shrinking and back fat, because my bra was easier to put on this morning :).

Not much else planned for the day - a Morrisons delivery (forgot to order cat food in the last one, whoops!), and then a Heygo tour of Cairo and Giza!

Food -
Brunch - vegan LC sossie roll - nice but I want more, so making egg and bacon, it's nearly 12
T - southern fried chicken and spinach

Keep warm!

awwwy yeaaa sleep AND a loss :bunnydance:

Had to look up heygo - awesome concept! Enjoys x

Heygo is fantastic - I've done a few tours now and it's such a good way to bring the world in, especially as I'm still a bit restricted travelwise. One woman on the feed today said she'd done 200!

Sadly the guide got stuck in traffic and couldn't run the tour on time, so I'll do it another time - there are so many tours to choose from, really spoiled for choice.

Not going to manage tea as I had what felt like a huge lunch - my portion size has defiitely come down a bit! Two small fried eggs and two small chicken thighs and I was stuffed!

Glad you finally got some sleep, it really does cure the ills of the world doesn't it.

I used to watch a guy on twitch who had a whole mobile setup (more than just live from a phone) and did loads of travel streams around the USA right before covid hit. Was so much fun to hop in his backpack so to speak and go on adventures with him. Super interactive and chat always got a say in what happened during the streams.
Love technology and what it can do :)

Morning - as in 1am morning. Can’t sleep but that’s mainly my own fault, I’d snoozed quite a bit yesterday as it was such cold and miserable weather! Not to worry, doing little jobs and just cut my own hair following a very sensible YT video - it was getting way too long and I need to find ways to cut back on some expenses long term, hairdressers being one of them.

Saturday was bad for overeating sweet stuff, which was a trigger for my AFib but yesterday was better. Just have to avoid anything sweet after about 5pm - harder than I realised because we’re so used to having the evening meal and then dessert. But that’s a small price to pay as I’m loving the food and cooking again. The loaded cheesy cauli casserole is a firm favourite now, and so easy to make (thank you frozen cauli!) and I’m going to attempt LC Scotch eggs this week.

AFib sounds a bit scary, I didn't know sweet foods can cause it. Low carb scotch eggs... yummy!

The consultant added a med recently, and it always takes a bit of time for the body to adjust - so been having lots of night flutterings, which make me feel quite odd, and a bit nervous and queasy. Hopefully that will settle down soon.

I did a bit of meal planning during the night too, so if i get around to it all, on the menu this week will be -
- cauli pizza pie
- bacon cheeseburger pie
- hungarian pork
- butter chicken curry
- courgette fritters
- mixed berry crumble
- tex mex beef chilli
- seed crackers

Feeling a bit nervous now about the boob appointment tomorrow - trying to visualise it in a room that I then lock, but not doing this very successfully. Deep breaths :).

Food today -
B - l/o steak and bacon with cheese, coffee

Really full so nothing else until tea, see how hungry i feel then.

Hello team

A long day, and I'm exhausted, but it looks like everything is fine. They did a biopsy but are 99% sure that it's nothing serious, and that the lump may have been caused by knocking myself - so the conclusion is that it's nothing to be worried about, which is great news and a huge relief! One thing ticked off the Stressy List :).

Brunch at the hospital - ham and cheese sandwich on LC bread
Late lunch - a small serve of cauli pizza pie - it was ok but I'll do it different next time
T - steak and crumbled feta and steamed spinach

Feel totally shattered, both from relief and from walking miles around the hospital LOL - it's only 6pm but might have to head to bed soon!

Have a good night x
