SW Food Diary - bikini body

Good Morning.
Start of a new week for us Tuesday Weighers. I've nothing that should really distract me too much from plan this week. The only challenge is that work is mega busy, I some how need to fit my running training in somewhere too, and get a 3000 word essay done by monday's deadline.
The plan is... to plan! Going to chop up my melons, went food shopping last night at tesco, not aldi like usual, but I thought it was possibly the only time I would get to grab some fresh fruit and veg.

Todays food:

B: Banana, Melon, Pineapple and a mullerlight

S: Alpen light

L: Pasta in a homemade tomato, vegetable and bacon sauce. Lettuce. Apple and tangerine.

S: Alpen light and banana.

Bodymagic: Running at the gym - will attempt a few resistance exercises too to mix it up a little.

T: Aldi rosemary and mint lamb shank (3.5 syns) Butternut squash, frozen veg, peas.

Thursday. So close to the weekend! I've woken up with a banging headache this morning, so just taking my time getting ready for work whilst my paracetmol start to work.
Having a think for today's food diary as well. I bought the 100 extra easy days little book at group on Tuesday. It does have some really good ideas, especially when you just can't be bothered to think, or aren't sure what you fancy.

Food Diary

Someone mentioned making them in group on Tuesday, apparently you can freeze them as well, who knew!? So will give them a go and see what I think, its basically, tin of red salmon/mashedpotato/chives, flash fry and then bake in the oven. Excited to give them a try.
Off to see my nanna tonight too, check how crackers she is! Last time I visited she told me not to lose anymore weight and that I was looking gaunt, no nanna, it's just you keeping us up worrying! lol

So envious of the running! Is 9k the most you've done before? I can't even get out the front door!

It will be! Ha! I did 7.5k the other weekend, but I could have carried on. So I'm hoping if I physically plan the route to be 9k, I should be fine. I've really got in to my running now, I'm looking at joining a running group once I've done the 10k to keep it up.
I even ran in the pouring rain last night!!! First time ever.

How are you finding the road running vs treadmill Jen? xx

Much prefer road running!!! On the treadmill its to easy to stop. Whereas when I'm out and about, 1. I don't like the thought of people thinking I'm giving up when I start walking and 2. You have to get back home some how lol. It does put more stress on my knees and other joints though, but I think my body will gradually get used to it.

I'm thinking of going to a specialist shop to check my running shoes are right for me though, as my auntie said that is something that can cause my knees to get sore.

I get a sore left knee and the shoes really helped! Do you do pilates or yoga ever? I think that's massively helped me too. I was advised to firstly get proper running shoes and secondly, introduce some crosstraining to build up muscle to help running/prevent injury. You could even buy a matt and a cheapie DVD off amazon! xx

Never really done pilates or yoga but they do both classes at my gym, so it might be worth a try for me. Which do you prefer? I do have a good pair of asics but whether they are the correct ones for my feet... lol

Haha, yeah I'm not sure I could keep a straight face for that. I'll give pilates a go then, going to see if there are any classes this week I can get to :)

Wow. Fishcakes were gorgeous. And so easy.
Tin of red salmon, add 2 potatoes (mashed), chopped chives, mix it all together, fry light garlic in frying pan, flash fry both sides and in the oven for 20 minutes to warm through.
Absolutely delish and so quick and easy to make!?!
Recommend this recipe even to those who think they can't cook.
I also just tried tesco's taco mixed beans, they have a spicy tomato sauce on them and are incredible. Definitely getting more of those bad boys.
